Idiotam habemus - Trumpum the Bigly XXX - Trump thread #143

No grey smoke necessary.

First 100 days have come and gone. Vance has killed the Pope, Musk is melting away and Trump's tariffs are on a slow boat to China.

Coming soon... Bigly's Birthday Parade. What could possibly go wrong?

It was kind of Prime Minister Mark Carney to visit the Governor of the 11th Province...

Personally I think Canada should annex the West Coast (CA, OR, WA). We could be 'Lower British Columbia'.

VANCE: We'll have visitors from close to 100 countries. We want them to come, we want them to celebrate, we want them to watch the games. But when the time is up, they'll have to go home, otherwise they'll have to talk to Secretary Noem

Sumi Somaskanda is impressive in both her knowledge and calm presenting skills.

How Carney was able to keep a straight face while Trump spouted his fake trade deficit numbers, I don't know. I wish I was a mind reader as the body language was interesting. Does Carney have a left arm twitch?

Just the thought of sitting next to the orange looney is surely enough to bring on a twitch

How will it look during the world cup if Canadian and Mexican stadiums are fully booked, but American ones half empty?

Pakistan has called Indian missile attacks an 'act of war', downed two Indian jets and said they will retaliate.

The potential of a war tonight is real - we need urgent international engagement to prevent a widening of this conflict which carries serious implications not just for the region but for the wider world.” Lord Tariq Ahmad

Indeed. Will the US be part of an international call to de-escalate the situation?

I am sure the current US leadership are well informed on the politics of that region and the complex history of the area.....

Hmm
Wallaw · 07/05/2025 08:28

I'm sure some tariffs and some very bigly strongly truth social posts will resolve the India-Pakistan issues.

I so hate feeling, at these moments, that we could have had responsible, if fallible, adults at the helm, but chose not to.

I can guarantee that Drumpf has no knowledge or understanding of the history, geography or beliefs of the 2 countries involved.

But guess which of the 2 countries has 4 sparkly Trump Towers?

It's been brewing for weeks. Apparently India was retaliating in response to a terrorist attack from last month claiming it was backed by Pakistan despite not giving any evidence yet (as far as im aware). Regardless I hope its just a bit of sabre rattling. Too many people dead already, can't bear the thought of another Israeli - Gaza situation. Except this time both have Bigly weapons. Hope nobody tells the egotistic tangerine that Pakistan has a coast..

The sceptic in me muses at how convenient it is that we have just made a deal with India.

On a separate note, thankyou so much for being a level headed group where we can disagree without it turning into a slanging match. Just popped into an India/Pakistan thread and it was like the wild west. 😔

I've been contemplating this one too.

Once one starts discussing changes to borders, sovereignty and blah-exits, there's no reason to restrict it to the dreams of the people who first raised it. It's a game anyone can play.

Indeed everyone else has no choice but to play, once the game's been started.

The idiocy here by those kicking off, is that they fantasize they will win whatever wars they start. They don't grasp that they're team may lose – bigly.

See also white supremacist fantasies about race wars.

The only winning strategy is not to have the wars...

“The U.S. is stepping up its intelligence-gathering efforts regarding Greenland…

…drawing America’s spying apparatus into President Trump’s campaign to take over the island, according to two people familiar with the effort.”

This is effectively attacking an ally - and Europe.

You'd be wrong. I have it on good authority that the Wotsit Wazzock knows more about the history, geography and beliefs of the 2 countries involved than anyone else on the planet. Nobody knows more about them than he does.
