The duller the better!

I’ll start… I couldn’t decide which yoghurt to have, so had a few spoonfuls of both. Cherry, then Mango and Passionfruit.

Spent two hours watering plants

Giggorata · 02/05/2025 14:59

DH brought home a veg box. It was all right.

It doesn’t hurt at all, however you are best to leave it until it’s practically falling off. I caught it putting on leggings this morning - it felt a bit weird (as it’s not a normal feeling). I then assessed it and could see it was just hanging on by a corner. I pulled lightly and it came off 🙂 Underneath is thick skin that looks a lot like a nail.

I damaged it 2 months ago. It started off red, and the bruise then rose to the surface a few weeks after just below the nail bed. During that whole period it was only ever a bit tender (it never has hurt).

The section near the top might become loose first. I’d recommend trimming it, but applying pressure to the bottom of the nail at the same time (as that bit is still attached and could hurt if that makes sense?).

I hope your DD gets on ok.

Thanks, she'll be relieved to know it won't hurt. Its detached a bit on the side so its got a white edge just like at the top so if it doesn't fall off its going to be growing out sideways which would be far too exciting for this thread so it does need to come off one way or the other.

My banking app flashed up a notification that a transaction for £21.99 might be fraudulent, but it wasn't.

Tarkan · 02/05/2025 15:02

DH let me lie in this morning and I woke up to find two loads of laundry washed and put out on the line because it’s so nice out.

Justwrong68 · 02/05/2025 15:02

I had lunch with a guy that I had the hugest crush on ten years ago. Felt nothing.

Kneenightmare · 02/05/2025 15:08

I’m finally lost patience with my vacuum cleaner today as it got blocked and stopped working straight away again. I’ve just ordered a new one.

EleanorReally · 02/05/2025 15:10

there is a diversion up the road so the cars are all going down a different road,
far too many cars difficult to cross the road

IndigoViolent · 02/05/2025 15:12

I salute your boredom levels!

In another non-interesting development, I just ironed two vest tops. Both white with a coloured print.

Ordered a skirt online but accidentally ordered two of the same .

Berlinlover · 02/05/2025 15:13

I bought some baby wipes to break a €50 note.

iseethembloom · 02/05/2025 15:15

I expected the morning drive to work to take longer than it did (as it’s a school day and there’s a big school en route) .

CalicoPusscat · 02/05/2025 15:15

I'm tired!

RipleyJones · 02/05/2025 15:16

I ate the contents of a new box of breadsticks, I dipped them in Salad Cream. I’m still hungry.

TomatoSandwiches · 02/05/2025 15:17

Sorting out some bits for the garden and discovered my rowan tree has pink AND white flowers blooming instead of just pink as its always been.

LiveshipParagon · 02/05/2025 13:24

I saw some strawberry Jammy Dodgers (the biscuit itself is pink Hmm) in Morrisons this morning. I didn't buy them.

Would you have bought them if the biscuit had been the usual Jammy Dodger beigey biscuit colour?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 02/05/2025 15:19

I stitched on a badge to my daughter’s air cadet brassard.

StarTwirl · 02/05/2025 15:19

Used my sourdough discard to make crackers for the first time in my air fryer and it was just shy of turning into charcoal. Still ate it because I’m stubborn.

Also can’t decide whether to put starter in the fridge or not in this warmer weather. It’s all new to me.

Dfg15 · 02/05/2025 15:21

Cleaned my car windscreen earlier. I need to cut the grass but really can't be bothered.

I just got the bus home from town, the driver took a different route than normal, it's not a bus route. Fortunately, it was back on its normal route by the time I got to the stop I needed, but given it's used by a lot of people with disabled passes & ended up quite a walk from some of the usual stops, you might have thought he'd have mentioned it as people were getting on the bus.

When I got off, I asked him why we had taken a different route, 'road closed nothing I can do about it'

I didn't even have the energy to say ' well it might've been nice of you to have mentioned it as people were getting on the bus'

Idiot.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/05/2025 15:21

I’ve just had a 40 minute meeting about concrete.

endofthecorridoor · 02/05/2025 15:22

I’m waiting for our taxi driver to deliver a fridge with me in the van

Thismomlikesknitting · 02/05/2025 15:23

My 3rd washing load of the day has 22 minutes left.

Is that a subtle brag that you know Daddy Pig?

Bigbunion · 02/05/2025 15:26

I put a new blister plaster on my bunion.
