The duller the better!

I’ll start… I couldn’t decide which yoghurt to have, so had a few spoonfuls of both. Cherry, then Mango and Passionfruit.

I have just made some blackberry and apple jam. Bramley apples from my garden. Blackberries from a hedgerow in the village. Recipe from a National Trust recipe book. I halved the quantities. Tastes very good but extremely sweet.

i have been using a bed cover without a duvet it seems for a long time, but realised, i should wash it and in future, use a sheet too!
i rammed it in the washing machine, put it on a wool wash, and hope the machine survives

That sounds very tasty.

DD attempted to make jam in Home Ec today, strawberry and rhubarb jam, but she says the instructions weren't very clear so she didn't realise she had to sterilise the jars so she made it and then had nowhere to put it 😂

mission successful, bed spread washed , but of a job hanging it on the line but washing machine seems to have survived.

I just signed up for an evening course. I was um-ing and er-ing about it for a while as it will make my Mondays very long, with a full day of work then 3.5 hours of the evening course straight after, but decided its worth it. Hopefully.

It’s 4:45am and l can’t sleep.

I have had the trots today.

Boring, and hugely inconvenient.

I made them put the heating on at work because its cooled down so much here.

I have bought another new washing detergent to try. Dylon for dark and black clothing. Special offer in Sainsbury’s for £3.50. While I was there I looked at the back to school stationery again but didn’t need any.

I’ve just unpacked and labelled all DS1’s new school uniform for when he starts secondary school in just over a week. Forgot the tie so just had to order that now.

I’m going to scrub paint splatter off the kitchen floor tiles

My neighbour beat me in the washing line challenge today. On days we do washing we have a friendly race to see who can get everything pegged out first.

i also have a race, but it is secret. my neighbour didnt take part today!

Bought some clothes in the supermarket last week and found they'd left the security tag on one item. Went back in this morning with the receipt and they took it off, no bother.

I washed my drinks bottle out and soaked it in Milton.

Just defrosted the freezer

I’m craving lemonade but thanks to an intolerance to artificial sweeteners I can’t have any from the nearby shops. DD finishes work in around an hour so she’s going to head to the big supermarkets and see if they have any Fever Tree ones for me.

The sun came out but it’s gone back in again.

I tripped over a blade of grass and managed to bruise my ankle 😂

DD got me the lemonade but because it’s the Sicilian one it’s a bit more bitter than I was craving. So while I’ve enjoyed it I think I need to head through to the city to get the M&S one that doesn’t have sweeteners.

I made cassoulet today. It was rather tasty.

i had a really lovely walk in the sunshine and i was very brave and drop up a very steep hill to get there, thankfully there were no bicycles on the road to slow me down,
