Does anyone get up at 5am?

I’m thinking of joining the 5am club.

Honestly, I would get so much done if I got up at 0500. I’d get my chores done before work, get the gym earlier, a bit of quiet time with a coffee and I think it would make a big difference to my time management.

The only thing is I need a lot of sleep, so I’d need to go to bed at 2100 (I go to ged now at 2200 and get up most days at 0600)

If you get up early please tell me about your routine, body clock, what you get done and how you handle it.

There’s a few reasons why older (menopausal) women are getting up early. Im one of them and I’m always up by 5 and often 4 in summer.

first of all I sleep 5.5-6hrs and I’m dead on my feet and asleep in bed by ten. I take my progesterone tablet at 9.30 which has a sedative effect.

I used to be a night owl in my 20’s and 30’s, happily up til 1 in the morning and then sleep in til 9 or 10 at weekends.

completely changed in my late 40’s.

I’m ok on 6 hours sleep and the early waking now, just wait til menopause 😁

I’m a mid 40s perimenopausal woman and still a night owl. I can’t get to sleep, often awake past midnight and wake a 3-4 am, then go back to sleep about 5 until I can. As I said naturally I’d wake again at 8.30-9.30.
