@Igotjelly - I’ve now got: “Everywhere you go, you always take the hatred with you..” on my mind, à la Crowded House.

I do wonder if taking Trump out of his Washington bubble of hate changes his perspective. Of course as soon as he’s back on Vance etc’s orbit he’ll revert.

Yes, I suspect this is it.

RafaistheKingofClay · 26/04/2025 17:37

I suspect even Trump can’t spin Vladimir bombing Kyiv as looking like he’s ready for a peace process.

By next week we’ll be back to Zelensky is making it difficult and Vladimir is easy to deal with. He’s done this before.

Well, well, well, the penny's finally dropped that Putin has been playing Trump all along. It took 96 days.

Whilst Trump rubs shoulders with the great and good back home it’s business as usual. https://amp.miamiherald.com/news/local/immigration/article305077166.html Evil fuckers

Trump nodded off during the funeral and there is this snub from Macron

Nope. He's a solipsist.

Defined as believing that their own experiences and existence are the only things that are truly known or important.

Scrotus is incapable of considering any point of view other than his own. He may accept a point of view based on another person's idea as long as it has a kernel of his 'self truth' in it, but it then becomes solely his own creation. The originator of the idea then becomes someone who agrees with him, rather than the other way round.

It's sort of why he is so intransigent in certain instances, yet can be so easily manipulated in others.

Wish I had the ability to do this myself! It did have to be done, though!

It’s always tickled me that English is typically the ‘lingua franca’, which is the ‘Frankish language’ (German) in Italian. Only in Europe!

I suspect they just ran through the possible languages and found the one where Trump wasn’t sat near anyone who he’s currently threatening.

JoshLymanSwagger · 26/04/2025 20:56

@Jaichangecentfoisdenom It's lovely that, even if only in meme form, that comment has come back to kick his ass.

The pictures of Macron embracing Zelenskyy and then batting away Trump’s hand are very telling. An experienced statesman like Macron doesn’t do things like that by accident.

Serpentstooth · 26/04/2025 23:09

Back to the White House. "I didn't say that. That's Fake News. Media bias. I still love Vlad, me and him are big buddies, we wrestle bears. Naked".

RafaistheKingofClay · 26/04/2025 23:22

Doesn’t Macron have a long running handshake thing going on with Trump? They try and out handshake each other or something.

Zonder · 26/04/2025 23:23

I was wondering that @RafaistheKingofClay - was it Macron who Trump kept shaking hands with and wouldn't let go?

I watched that carefully several times, and I don't think Macron was trying to avoid shaking hands (in fact he did shake with Trump outside, in the seating area).

I think the orange one was waving his hands around trying to herd people, or to to say something about "you and Zelensky" <flaps hands round both>, and Macron was also gesturing and made contact.

But Macron did indeed have a very warm, brotherly handshake with Zelensky.Grin

RafaistheKingofClay · 26/04/2025 23:29

Yes. I think the one at the Notre Dame thing was about 4 years long.

There’s an old one from his first presidency where he gave Trump white finger marks.

The psychology is so blatantly unresolved grief at losing his 1st child, a girl, to SIDS that drives him to compel his baby mothers (a clinically descriptive term but clearly what he sees them as) to have IVF so that he can have boy babies (isn't sex selection illegal?) and make them have caesarian sections BC he thinks their brains can be bigger that way.
