Emma Bridgewater mug handles keep dropping off!

Earlier posts on the same subject are a bit old now.
I love EB mugs and have bought 14/15 but I’m now down to about 7. The handles simply drop off. At £25 each I think this is ridiculous.
I emailed EB pointing out the weakness, making it clear I was not seeking recompense but telling them I am no longer collecting them.

I received a reply explaining their quality control. Not much help.
if anyone else has had the same experience please contribute to the thread and I shall advise EB to have a look at your responses.

I find them quite satisfying to drink from but also many of them match the plates, bowls etc we use for kitchen suppers and breakfasts, so it is a bit frustrating to use mismatched ones for fear of something that has, as yet, never happened to me.

In short, when you have paid good money (and they are not cheap for what they are) for a utilitarian item, you hope to use it.

It's not as if it is fine Sevres or Meissen porcelain and worthy of a drawing room just to be gazed upon ...

Well yes but if you were, like other posters, 16 mugs down due to the handles dropping off surely you’d not be using them for boiling hot drinks?

Yes, that's true.

I've not yet had it happen but it does linger in the mind ... so we are fairly careful about filling them on a flat surface and letting it cool.
