How close is your closest IKEA?

My nearest IKEA is 45 minutes away (on a good day).

A product was out of stock and I was looking for alternative stores and I was surprised at how few stores they actually have.

TobaccoFlower · 18/03/2025 13:47

6.7 miles

The Glasgow one (big warehouse one) is about 15 mins drive from me. I have a lot of ikea stuff as a result of this Grin

CheeseWisely · 18/03/2025 13:50

A 5 minute drive, 1 hour 15 ferry and then an hours drive. It’s in another country.

About 3 / 3.5 hours on a good day, weather would hamper transport options.

10-15 minutes away by car. It kills me if I need to get something delivered as it’s so close. Over the years I have become expert in being creative to get bigger items in the car!

Me too! Double bed frame and mattress, a large chest of drawers and a bedside table in a Seat Ibiza is my record.

Retirementsoon · 18/03/2025 13:57

About 10 mins.

DinoLil · 18/03/2025 13:58

Half hour drive, 50 minute ferry crossing and then about 15 mins drive the other side. Also £££ in ferry costs.

BleakerHouse · 18/03/2025 13:58

A couple of hours away, but there's a collection point nearer.

ErrolTheDragon · 18/03/2025 14:03

45 mins, I’ve never been to it. We got kitchen table and chairs from them
online. The only one I’ve been to was in Pennsylvania.

EveryDayisFriday · 18/03/2025 14:06

5 mins away. I know all the shortcuts in store but mainly just click and collect these days.

Mine is a five minute drive way! Dangerous 😂😂

Mine is a 5 minute walk 😂 quicker to get meatballs than it is to go to the supermarket 😂

fluorescenttricenarian · 18/03/2025 14:08

An hour. I love going as do my kids. They get really excited to see the display rooms and have meatballs 😂

Snorlaxo · 18/03/2025 14:09

About 3 miles away

Muchtoomuchtodo · 18/03/2025 14:10

About half an hours drive. I’ve not been for ages though!!

Chuchoter · 18/03/2025 14:11

52 miles. It's in Cardiff.

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 18/03/2025 14:12

About 2 hours drive. We used to live 40 minutes from one but I only went about every 4 years!

RandomUsernameHere · 18/03/2025 14:13

About 40 minutes in the car.

Whoarethoseguys · 18/03/2025 14:14

25 minutes away

Denime · 18/03/2025 14:15

10 minute drive. I always forget it’s there though and rarely go.

ExtraDecluttering · 18/03/2025 12:51

We are in between two, both 45 mins drive.

Us too, possibly the same ones?

Duffybearblue · 18/03/2025 14:17

I think we are about 1 hour away from both the Wednesbury and Warrington stores.

queenatom · 18/03/2025 14:33

6 minute drive if the lights are in my favour or a 25 minute walk. We have a lot of IKEA products.

PiastriThePastry · 18/03/2025 14:36

Best part of two hours. Shame really as I do love a wander around ikea. Probably better for the bank account tho!
