How many loads of laundry will you do today?

I’m doing bedding, so that’s two loads.
Dark clothing is another load.
Delicates one load.
And hopefully towels as well.

5 loads today.

Towels today. Also an impromptu sweater wash as I dropped my lunch on it. 🙄

SplitEndHunter · 11/03/2025 13:48

I’ve done 3. I don’t usually do washing mid week.

Chipsahoy · 11/03/2025 13:48

Two. Towel wash, now in the dryer. And a colour of wash, hanging on the clothes rack to dry now.

Xiaoxiong · 11/03/2025 13:50

One - have to do a load every day or I fall behind. One extra wash on the weekend when all the school sports kit comes back so 8 loads over the week (1 towels, 2 sheets, 4 clothes, 1 muddy sports kit)

Ddakji · 11/03/2025 13:51

None, I’m at work. Usual weekly loads are 3-4. I don’t change bedding weekly as there’s absolutely no need.
There’s 3 of us.

ExtraDecluttering · 11/03/2025 13:51

Probably none, will see what's in the laundry basket when I get home from work, if there's enough then a load of coloureds. I do towels and sheets at the weekend.

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 11/03/2025 13:52

We do 2 or 3 washes a day over the weekend and get it all done

Dox9 · 11/03/2025 13:53

None. 2 yesterday though as did none at the weekend. 3 loads a week here, 3 of us.

dontforgetme · 11/03/2025 13:54

One. I do one load a day as I fall spectacularly behind if I don't. Luckily I wfh so I have the time to bung a wash on daily. Towels and bedding are done over the weekend.

Comedycook · 11/03/2025 13:56

Ive done three so far today.... bedding and towels made up two loads plus one dark wash.

I need to check if dd has a clean white shirt for school tomorrow...if not, I'll need to do a white wash.

Feedingpillow · 11/03/2025 13:59

Christ knows. We have four kids, one is a toddler and then we also have newborn twins which are both sicky and partial to a poonami. The washing machine is rarely off, frankly.

MissEloiseBridgerton · 11/03/2025 14:09

I've done 2. A white and a dark wash, mostly my uniforms from working this weekend and a few school uniforms that didn't get gathered up during the weekend. Half of it is on the drying rack, and half in the dryer. Always do at least 1 load a day.

TabbyM · 11/03/2025 14:10

None!

Did get a wash hung out at the weekend but too damp and cold now.

BarnacleBeasley · 11/03/2025 14:11

We do one overnight (timed to come on at 4am and finish when we get up) and then put it in the dryer or hang it up first thing in the morning.

coxesorangepippin · 11/03/2025 14:11

I've done bathmats, and now a load of the kids stuff

CosyRoby · 11/03/2025 14:12

I usually do one wash a day.
Toady I done an extra towels / Bathmat wash as I wanted them all done on high temp wash
So two washes today.

GroovyChick87 · 11/03/2025 14:12

I've done 2 already but one was bedding qnd towels and a third later on. There's 7 of us.

AllTheChaos · 11/03/2025 14:13

One more than planned as elderly cat managed to get IN to the towel box, and then wee’ed prolifically!

rainbowsparkle28 · 11/03/2025 14:14

None (machine is broken and waiting for new one to arrive! 😳😂)

Jinglejanglenamechanged25 · 11/03/2025 14:16

2 today, at least one a day, mostly 2 (family of 4)

Cosyvibes · 11/03/2025 14:16

I've done two a towel and a dark load. Will do a throw load later. I generally do two or three washing loads a day including the weekends. It's never ending.

ohtowinthelottery · 11/03/2025 14:17
  1. 1 lights and 1 darks. The sun is/was shining so free electricity for the washing machine courtesy of our solar panels!
It is hanging on the line to dry though.
HundredPercentUnsure · 11/03/2025 14:18

You must have a large households those doing multiple loads a day?! To not only accumulate that much but also in space to store it up and then space to dry it too!

Household of 4 (mucky young kids), one load today. No space for a tumble dryer and limited indoor air drying space. No outside drying space.

Darkclothes · 11/03/2025 14:18

None!

How many in your household OP? That info is relevant because if you are single, then 5 loads seems alot! 😆

Its just DH and myself, both WFH and I might only do 1-2 loads a week. I use colour catchers, so rarely do separate dark and light loads. Lingerie goes in a little, zip up bag thing, so also no separate load needed.

I don’t wash daily. I hate doing washing so I usually do all of mine over one or two days per week. I have a tumble drier though.
