Which one would it be? Missing persons, unsolved murders or even random unexplained events.

The 3 babies abandoned in London.
I worry about the mother and what she's currently going through.

Disappearance of Lee Boxell, he was a friend of my cousin.

Same here.

In February 2025, the private firm Ocean Infinity initiated a new search focusing on previously unexamined areas of the Indian Ocean. This search is based on credible data, including satellite signals and disrupted radio transmissions. The company operates on a "no find, no fee" basis, with a $70 million reward at stake.

Missing persons and unsolved murders would be my pick first to give peace to families.

I also love mysteries of the world! I wouldn’t know where to start such a rabbit hole to go down. I really like the Lore podcast series.

Madeleine and Ben, cannot begin to imagine what those poor parents go through every day.

ConcernedOfClapham · 02/03/2025 01:08

Many, very many cases have piqued my interest down the years and I can often go down rabbit holes exploring them.

But, if I had to pinpoint one to find the story of what really happened, it would have to be the mystery of D.B Cooper

Endlessly fascinating that one, particularly some of the theories that have cropped up and deathbed confessions.

Geoffrey Chaucer's disappearance, I don't know why especially when so many others have gone missing

Edited

I didn’t know he disappeared just that no one seemed to know how he died
There are thoughts he was killed by the Kings men etc

It would be even more poignant for me if he did disappear as my cat Chaucer disappeared in the late 80s storm 😞. I assume you don’t mean my cat though

Stirabout · 02/03/2025 02:15

I’d like to know the mystery of the Mary Celeste
and
Who Jack the Ripper was
and
Who killed the Princes in the Tower

my number 1 would be the Princes though

A bit niche probably but I’d like to know what happened to Alistair Wilson, the Nairn banker. I was wee when he was murdered but remember it so vividly. It has just been the 20 year anniversary and I feel so sorry for his sons growing up without their dad, not knowing why he was shot on their doorstep.

I'm in Australia so only Australians would know about the Beaumont children.

Three siblings taken at once, in the 60's, South Australia. Every time it comes back into the news, my parents, who were locals at the time, talk about how the crime caused people to start dead locking their doors & keep kids inside. They're still looking, although have a pretty good idea who took them.

Keith Bennett so he can be laid to rest where his family can visit his resting place. Also Ben Needham. Bless them both x

A missing kid to give the parents some peace. It'd be the worst feeling not to know what happened to your child.

Sadly the latest dig this week has shown nothing. It was awful how their parents have died with no resolution.

The Beaumont Children. That one just breaks my heart. I think the dad is still alive too.

I'm not Australian but I listened to a podcast about them recently. I went down a rabbit hole with the case.

Ben Needham. His mum needs to know what happened to him.

Madeleine McCann, because someone needs to be brought to justice for whatever happened to that child.

Jon Benet Ramsay.
