Postcode Lottery Winners

Hi,

Are there any postcode lottery winners out there? I’m talking people who won more than £5 or e-gift cards? I know there are showing on TV people winning considerable amounts of money but I’m still skeptical…Contemplating if I should carry on playing or stop the monthly subscription.

We’ve won a couple of tenners and some lovely st Eval candles…..I was in hospital 9 years ago and one of my nurses won £25000……she was a really nice lady and I was pleased for her….

My sister didn't play. 10 houses on her street did. They all won £150K each.

It's a con. Who chooses the postcode.

It's randomised. The charity commission would shut them down in a minute for fraud otherwise. I run a small charity and the council has actually been out to check we to our raffle correctly. A big national charity isn't going to get away with loading up their own postcodes.

even £10 would be more than what i make in premium bonds.

About 4 families in DD's class won about £40K each a couple of years ago!

Yes it is, or so was the experience of DD's class winners, some chose to go on their facebook/advertising etc but you didn't have to.

I was meant to start a thread about the premium bonds as well. What a waste of investment that is…I believe only the over £30k investments stand a chance, anything under, slim to none…

Only postcodes that have paid to enter are entered in to the draw.
I moved house & my old street won over £3k a few weeks after I transferred the postcode :(

I kept on my old postcode and added my new postcode when I moved, because I bloody knew what would happen if I cancelled the old postcode. I hadn't realised but you can play any postcode you want, it's not reliant on where you live.

Of course, now I get bugger all every month on two postcodes 😆
