Postcode Lottery Winners

Hi,

Are there any postcode lottery winners out there? I’m talking people who won more than £5 or e-gift cards? I know there are showing on TV people winning considerable amounts of money but I’m still skeptical…Contemplating if I should carry on playing or stop the monthly subscription.

I've only ever got a tenner here and there.
A family member has won the £1000 prize and then about £8k another time.
The postcode opposite us won over £100k recently. It was a sickener I won't lie, to miss out by one fecking letter.
I just pretended to be happy for them whilst seething inside.
Can't cancel though, knowing my luck our postcode will be drawn for the million pound win.

At least you are honest 😅

FIL won £4k just before Christmas. That was nice!

Tillow4ever · 27/02/2025 20:04

My parents won £1k or £1.5k - it was the reason I started playing a couple of years ago lol!

Yerdug · 27/02/2025 20:17

We won 1500 a few years ago. Paid to fix the chimney leak and for new blinds

Cheshire71 · 27/02/2025 20:27

We won £2000 a couple of years ago 🙂

THANK YOU for reminding me to restart my entry!! I started doing it and got distracted!

A postcode up the road from me won a share of £1 million last year so I doubt my area will have another big win or I’d be tempted to join it.

that's.... not how it works. The postcode is chosen by a random number generator. No .ore or less chance of winning if the next street or the next county has won.

Monstermashermashedthemonster · 27/02/2025 21:07

3 years ago we won £8000
Last year we won £2000
About 10 £10 wins

Which part of the country are you? North, South? I have a feeling they ignore the South because they think we’re rich.. lol

oh god there is so much bonkers conspiracy on this thread. It is a RANDOM number generator. Could you imagine the uproar if it came out that it was anything but???

My friend's mum won't £250,000. Her next door neighbours - both the husband and wife played, so they each got £250k!

That must be nice.. :)

Do you have to have those awful people come to your door if you win? 😂

Jo1667 · 27/02/2025 21:45

My brother won £1000 and his friend about 3 miles away won £30,000. The residents in a street in my hometown won over £100,000k each, and a local charity also got a large donation because of that. Fantastic for the charity too as it was equivalent to 3 years funding.

I think my part of Scotland as well but we’re not that rich of an area. Literally nothing more than £12 in the last 11 years. I hope people aren’t playing it and have wised up. It’s a waste of money. It feels like they’re just taking people’s money and laughing at them.

hby9628 · 27/02/2025 22:02

£12
Some candles
Some oven gloves. To be fair I was quite pleased with the oven gloves.

My mother in laws street one the million one, but unfortunately she wasn't in it! We happen to be there when they came over to next door to announce it and watched it out of her window. Think they won £140000 ish. I now play because of this 🤣

It was a lightening doesn’t strike twice mindset. Plus I looked at the local winners and nobody else has won over more than minor prizes.

My neighbour won £30k just before I moved next door. She still has the mock cheque in her lounge!

pilates · 27/02/2025 22:38

I have been doing it for 6 months and nothing 😔 thinking of cancelling

It’s a lottery, same as playing national lottery or putting your money in a fruit machine!

Origamiheaven · 27/02/2025 22:45

I won 1000 last month

EmmaM84 · 27/02/2025 22:54

My friend got the padded gold envelope just before Xmas. Excitedly ripped it open the find - socks. Bamboo socks 🤣

NotMeNoNo · 27/02/2025 22:54

I've had six £10-£12 wins in the 18 months I've been in it. I think that's quite good.

I didn't know you could look up results - just seen my postcode neighbours in NG11 have won big this week Envy
