... it's ingrained into your family vocabulary?

This morning: "Porridge today Gromit.
It's Tuesday".

Other favourites: "Where's the salad? Where's the salad?"

"That'll do Pig, that'll do..."

We have so many in our family!

You're terrible Muriel

Life is like a box of chocolates ( in the Forest Gump) voice

ThePoshUns · 26/02/2025 10:36

What a nice little pig
(From babe, said in a sheep voice, to my dog, cat (or children))

You knows I loves the bumper cars - from g&s

Dave's gonna take you a walk, you knows what a walk is - from g&s, said very often to my dog. In fact, dog carries the brunt of my Gavin and Stacey repertoire

And not from film, but from music - my mumma didn't raise no fools (2pac) - whenever the family notice/comment that I do something really smart 😜

BleepingBleepy · 26/02/2025 10:43

"Crofts have jobs to do" (from Tomb Raider, when trying to stir ourselves to get household stuff done)

"That'll do, pig"

DilemmaDelilah · 26/02/2025 11:33

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 26/02/2025 12:03

DS is the same age as Neil the Baby.

He is still known as XXX the Baby by his cousins and the friends we knew when he was born. Despite now being 6'3" and having a younger sibling, and no idea what we're on about.

SnowflakeSmasher86 · 26/02/2025 12:15

Whenever I mention my friend Helen my (adult) kids all collapse in hysterics and say “does it remind you of PE Helen?” in a Stath voice. Also “no doors, just ropes”.

Wishimaywishimight · 26/02/2025 12:31

"This is the worst day of my life"

"It's about average for me"

From a Lee Mack sitcom called "Semi-detached" that sadly only had 1 series.

Oh, another one;

"You really are a lingering disappointment"

ThePoshUns · 26/02/2025 12:31

MrsLargeEmbodied · 26/02/2025 12:28

It was Cadbury's Roses that you said "Thank you very much" with. I can't think of a jingle that went along with Quality Street. I do know that it's "all because the lady loves....Milk Tray" though 😄
