Oh look, isn't he excited to have his little letter from the King, with his name on it and the King's name on it? So excited he has to show it to the cameras.

Thanks for taking one for the team, Yer Maj.

I felt similarly excited when I received a hand signed letter from Boris Johnson at the start of the first lockdown. I am wondering whether to laminate, frame it or use it in a collage.

Igotjelly · 27/02/2025 19:02

Trump doesn’t believe he called Zelenskyy a dictator. He’s so fucking disingenuous!

CaveMum · 27/02/2025 19:08

Well done Chris Mason for asking the question, quite how Trump thinks anyone will believe him is just 🤯

Starmer pushing back on Vance’s comments about free speech infringements in the UK too.

I'm just looking at the stills, but I see Starmer is patting the little child, like Macron did.

Igotjelly · 27/02/2025 19:10

He had to ask what AUKUS is 😂

pentangles · 27/02/2025 19:14

Apparently Trump has an enormous bruise across the back of his right hand.
I would post a picture but it might take 12 hours for it to be approved Grin

It’s not him, State Visits are at the behest of the Government. The Monarch just has to play host.

Maybe KC has renegotiated the Sovereign Grant in exchange for rolling out the red carpet. I wonder if Camilla and Catherine will have sudden headaches that day week.

<cough> That's a nasty rash on your hand, Kingy...

Google Trump Bruise. It's everywhere.
I might be forgiven for suggesting the 'bruise' could possibly be the result of a little accident on the potty.

PerkingFaintly · 27/02/2025 19:21

Thanks, @Igotjelly . Interesting.

When you run out of Andrex...

Wallaw · 27/02/2025 19:23

One of those video clips, it honestly looks like Starmer's edging away, trying to make a run for it at the beginning.

It's bringing to mind what Adam Kinzinger said about Trump's 'distinctive' smell.

Llttledrummergirl · 27/02/2025 19:25

Do they think we were born yesterday? Bruised from shaky hands my arse.

SerendipityJane · 27/02/2025 19:31

Igotjelly · 27/02/2025 17:35

I’m clearly a terrible patriot as I didn’t realise there was a right way up 😂

Flying flags upside down is generally considered a distress signal.

It helps to have a flag that doesn't have a horizontal axis of symmetry (sorry France).

However the UK flag is so nuanced, most folk would never spot it. I certain wouldn't rely on it alone. Maybe supplement with blinking in morse code ?

pentangles · 27/02/2025 19:32

My mum would have brusied after shaking a few hands, but she was 87 and had discoid lupus (skin only, not systemic). I wondered if age could contribute to bruising after repeated agitation, and perhaps?

Still, it's more likely to be either his very low quality Bondi sands mitt or a shit stain tbh.

RafaistheKingofClay · 27/02/2025 19:34

That’s a huge bruise for shaking hands. What the hell did he shake hands with?

SerendipityJane · 27/02/2025 19:36

Who remembers the speculation about bruises on the Queens hand ?

Macron did seem to have a fairly strong grasp of the Tangerine Trotter.🤔

CaveMum · 27/02/2025 19:41

Probably been hooked up to some snake oil IV drip that RFK has advised him to take…

bloodredfeaturewall · 27/02/2025 19:42

black hands of death
nurse friends called them that when caring on a geriatric ward. it's when the circulation of people starts to shut down shortly before they die.

JoshLymanSwagger · 27/02/2025 19:44

If he's on blood thinners, that could cause it.
He's 78, so it's highly probable that he may be at least taking aspirin.
