Has anyone else come off Twitter because of Musk?

Me too. Too much right wing shit.

I shut my account because my feed was being filled with racist and sexist trash.

I've just deactivated my account. I haven't used it for a long time but Musk needs to be stopped from interfering in our politics

I've just stopped looking at it this week. It's so disgusting.
I've never seen so much racism, sexism, anti-semitism, islamaphobia and every other bigoted and intolerant view and I'm a bit right of centre with a few left leanings.
I'm quite conservative in many respects so not the typical easily offended stereotype and I think it's become a vile place.

I removed the app a few years ago when they were expelling gender critical people. Musk did change that. But now it is a platform for racists and loony conspiracists so there's no going back.
There's a lot to be said for mainstream media, whatever its faults. Now lies and hatred come free and the truth is often behind a pay wall. C'est la vie.

I have opened a Bluesky account and have been much happier on there. I kept my Twitter account on my phone but refused to look at it. I actually deleted it this morning and have zero regrets, out of sight, out of mind! Very disappointed with Zuckerberg's decision about fact checking, if Facebook becomes intolerable, I'll consider closing that as well .
