Lost - the TV series from yonks ago

Is this worth getting into? I've started the first episode as I could do with some pure escapism but don't want to waste time!

I found it v intriguing and got really into it, but it turned rubbish and the ending was crap. (All just my opinion of course, although I do seem to remember the ending was widely slated)

I loved that series. DS20 is currently watching and loving it on our recommendation.

Similar era but have you seen 24? Early seasons were fab, way better than lost imo.

I lasted till I completed series 4 I seem to remember and then I started to get a bit bored with it. Curiosity got me to watch the final three episodes though.

Definitely worth it!
I remember I got up at at daft-o-clock to watch the Lost finale when I was 9 months pregnant because they aired it here at the same time as it was aired in America. I was due the following day and as it was first baby didn’t imagine in a million years she would arrive early. My waters broke that afternoon and I haven’t had a lie in since 😅 Cursed myself for getting up at 4am or something daft like that on my last opportunity to sleep.

Nah. Series 1 was awesome. All goes downhill from there...still annoyed with Channel 4 who claimed the series 1 finale "would answer everything" including the numbers. Did it bollocks. Ever.

I rewatched it a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it. I didn't mind the end the second time around.

I loved 24. Binge watched the lot while I was at law school!

I did also love Lost, but in a different way.

This made me laugh! My brother and I were in our teens and got up at 5am with Mum to watch the US timed broadcast too. My Dad who thought the whole thing was a lot of shite was thoroughly bemused 😅.

Ooh I might rewatch it. I loved Lost! Dh and I bought the box set of DVDs and binged them. The ending is dire but it was a really good series.

When I rewatched it, I got goosebumps at the end of the first episode when it all goes black. Remembering dh and I watching it every week live, as was the style at the time, and looking over at each other as each one ended. Then everyone was talking about it at work the next day. Different times.

We started watching it back in the days that Netflix was Lovefilm (remember the subscription where you got DVDs sent through the post, the demise of Blockbuster just before streaming was available) and couldn't get into it. It didn't help that I had already heard what the ending was from disgruntled colleagues who had watched the whole thing to be sorely disappointed. The ending sounds rubbish! I keep thinking that I'll give it another go.

I watched it all again quite recently and enjoyed it more this time, even the ending. I think I missed a few bits, quite a lot first time

Agree with this. I gave up part way through season 2 because it was just so ridiculous. Very disappointing cos it had such promise.
