Lost - the TV series from yonks ago

Is this worth getting into? I've started the first episode as I could do with some pure escapism but don't want to waste time!

I loved it, rewatched recently and still loved it. Even liked the ending.

My eldest watch it and now all his friends are. They are all very positive.

I watched it at the time and was let down by how it ended - my eldest was not. I it that down to at the ti.e it was on the obsessing over it was insane. Crazy theories and side stories etc (imagine a thread on MN about a series with lots of mystery and how everyone would theorise then think what that would be like on steroids)

DH and I started watching this a few weeks ago. We are absolutely addicted. We've got two little ones and as soon as they're in bed, we rush to binge as many episodes as possible 😂 currently nearing the end of S4 and still loving it!

We also love 24!

Oh my, I was obsessed with Lost. I remember getting up early to watch it on a website (piracy).

However, the ending was rubbish and I never bothered to rewatch it again. Which says a lot, considering I like to rewatch shows I enjoy. The ending made me feel, why did I bother?

Not all of it. I admit I think a lot of it went over my head. I had to go on the LostWiki and have it explained to me more than once, then went back and rewatched the end. So I do understand the end (and obv won’t say more due to not wanting to do spoilers for OP), but I don’t think everything was answered.

Worth it just for Sawyer 😉

I watched it when it first came out. The initial premise was fun and intriguing but the plotting got more and more terrible as the series progressed and it was utter pants by the end.

I used to have a pic of Sawyer in my locker at work. 😂

It’s one of my favourites. I even like the ending, I just think lots of people were confused by it. When I rewatched after properly understanding the ending I enjoyed it more.

Sawyer never did it for me! Prefer Jack looks wise, but his obsession to be in control would put me right off. His personality was a major red flag!

DH and I recently watched it, it wasn’t on our radar when it first came out. Didn’t realise how many episodes/series there were when we first got into it and when we did, it was too late, we were hooked. Felt like giving up a few times but I needed to find out what happened to all the characters. On the whole I enjoyed it but agree that the ending was a let down. DH said he wouldn’t recommend it to anyone 😅

I think the idea of a community of total strangers who have to survive together is just incredibly appealing and no ending would ever be satisfying to everyone, no matter what.

You couldnt possibly have predicted the ending from one episode, is that what you mean?

I always spend the first few episodes thinking Jack is gorgeous, then his personality kicks in and he becomes one of my least favourites.

Desmond was always my favourite.

Highly recommend watching Chronologically Lost if you are a fan. It's a recut of the whole series but in chronological order!!
