Lost - the TV series from yonks ago

Is this worth getting into? I've started the first episode as I could do with some pure escapism but don't want to waste time!

I watched it all first time round and have re watched it at least two times with the kids in turn. Honestly, I think it's great - some really good actors, intriguing (if bonkers !) storylines, beautiful scenery, gorgeous music. It really stands up to scrutiny I think. It's funny, sharp and quite moving at times. Yes, some of the last season was quite 'unexpected' 😬 but as PPs have said, I really didn't care second & third time around. And Sawyer is HOT 😁

I loved Lost. I think it was one of the best things on TV to this day. But. It obviously depends if you like shows with mysteries and that get complicated.

If you want a show where you find out the answers to ALL the mysteries put forward, this isn’t the show to watch.

But if you enjoy watching the characters evolve and what happens to them, with random mysteries thrown in then keep going because it’s awesome.

I’m one of the those that actually enjoyed the ending. I would have liked more answers, but for me it didn’t matter in the end.

I second what someone above said, if you want a kind of more modern Lost, From is looking promising (but a bit more scary than Lost). It hasn’t ended however so there’s always the possibility it would go in a similar way! But based on the first 3 seasons, I recommend it.

It started out great, but just went on and on and on... and the ending was rubbish.

Except I think I lasted until about series three, and found that watching it was for me becoming a chore. I did watch the last episode. Another chore for me.

One of the best series I've ever watched. The ending however is shit and I still can't make sense of it haha

I can remember having a job that often demanded waiting around in my car for 2/3 hours. I felt so modern when I got a rechargeable portable DVD layer and watched 24 in my car!

Right, I'm sticking with it! That'll sort my January then.

i also didnt mind the ending, so id say stick with it.

I love it, I do a rewatch every couple of years, as some others have said the ending is shite, but it’s such a good show despite that.

I only watched it for Sawyer 😉

I've been rewatching it. I love it, and I think the final season as a whole is really great, each ep gives answers. I've got about 8 ep to go. For me it was s5 that got a bit dull, but it still unfolded the story that bit further along. I think binge watching it has really helped it make more sense to me. A bit like HERO, which was so hard to follow until we binged it.

The last series, as with several shows, was the ruin of it.

I was glued to the first two seasons, watched a couple of episodes of series 3 and lost interest completely.

Never get the outrage over the ending, either. I thought it was lovely.

Series 4 and 5 were my faves!

Definitely watch it but stop after the end of Series 3.

I think you might've misunderstood the ending then.

It was a DNF for me. I got to season 5 which was a real forced watch and then gave up. Did the same with The Walking Dead in Season 7. I hate when series drag on for years.

Don't do as quoted and only watched until the end of Series 3! Series 4 and 5 were ace.

Probably not on here as OP hasn't watched it yet!

I’m still so angry I wasted hours and hours of my life watching it and then the ending was so shit.

I think a lot of people misunderstood it despite them trying to spell it out in the episode.
