Me? Had a non productive meeting for child arrangements with ex. Going round in circles and have come down with a lovely Christmas cold.

Sorry posted to quickly. I hope you find the time for yourself and that others nastiness is not a reflection on you it's them.

I hope that the person in hospital is receiving the care they deserve and need.

Actually I'll send that to them thank you 💞

Been travelling all day, much (much!) delayed by fog. Have arrived and settled my son to sleep, now just want an hour to myself after feeling ‘On’ all day.

Similar. Really awful long journey.

notwittywithusernames · 28/12/2024 01:59

@bluesatin @Maria1982 I hope you get some time to yourselves x

No real reason. I’m naturally a night owl, always have been. It’s like my body is programmed to be nocturnal but alas, society won’t let me 😅

notwittywithusernames · 28/12/2024 02:04

@PlantDoctor thank you. It's basically hitting head against a brick wall with the ex. In the bright side I've managed to work my way through most of Frasier as I need some easy listening/watching while I sit up coughing.

Love this time of year and all the bugs!

Was it SSHL? DD experienced it too a few months ago - we were lucky in that most of her hearing returned but the tinnitus is unfortunately very much here to stay. Such an awful condition, definitely not spoken about enough! Pink noise is your friend!!

Yes! I was misdiagnosed by GP as congestion and an audiologist said it was wax. Finally saw an ENT that said I had severe/profound loss in that ear and there was nothing he could do. Plus I'd probably never know the reason why. I did have a CT to rule out tumours. For the most part I tune it out (though it's always there) it's just really getting to me. I sorry it happened to your daughter. Seems to be more common now with links to COVID etc. GPs are really lacking in this area too. If I had of been diagnosed earlier steroids may have helped.

My best friend of 45 years is visiting and I see her rarely. She’s asleep and I’m still buzzing from the lovely company glow. Love her with all my heart!

WhappleBee · 28/12/2024 02:08

Got my PIP assessment back today and they’ve reduced it after 9 years despite my health being worse. Lots in the letter about how I work 2 days a week so I’m clearly fine. Nothing about the intense pain and exhaustion those two days cause. So up in loads of anxiety over having to challenge their decision. Also have to move next month but I’m now £300 less well off every month. Merry Christmas!

Trying to focus on my absolutely amazing family (who offered to do all housework while I need to work an extra day a week to manage) and my husband (who said he’ll do all the paperwork and take on overtime for when I’m not well enough to work extra). They are brilliant.

Just got in from a night out. Coffee and bed for me now

Hiddle1976 · 28/12/2024 02:10

Insomnia here too :(

Fysm · 28/12/2024 02:11

I'm revenge bedtime procrastinating.
I know I'll regret it in the morning, yet I still do it every night 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pixiedust1234 · 28/12/2024 02:12

Apparently I've "lost" the house i was supposed to be buying as i discovered it was back on Rightmove this afternoon. Feel soooo let down by my EA and solicitor who kept saying my buyer was fine/within normal time limits every time I questioned why the process was taking so long. Tonight my stomach is busy churning away and my mind is going "aaarrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!" 😱

Hope you all find some form of relief/sleep tonight 😴

Hiddle1976 · 28/12/2024 02:12

I've got two days off work then back in a 5am kill me now lol..

I'm so sorry to hear this. I don't know very much about PIP sorry but I hope you're able to challenge/appeal the change.

Take comfort in your family and friends who sound lovely. Best wishes xx

Got the worst cough, every time I lie down I have a coughing fit. Came on to MN to find out how much infant calpol I’d need to take because I’ve run out of painkillers 🫠

Bless you, thank you! I will appeal, just annoying and time consuming. Thank you for the kindness xx
