If you won the 15 million lotto jackpot tonight, what would you do with the money?

Move somewhere remote

spottedinthewilds · 09/11/2024 19:33

I would go to every race on the F1 calendar in style and explore the world at the same time.

WingSlutz · 09/11/2024 19:34

Oh god I'd pay off all my debts, and mortgage. Then I'd breathe.
Then plan a renovation of my house. And invest most of the rest in property and pensions. After booking a couple of amazing holidays!
It would be amazing to know my kids were sorted financially and would always have somewhere to live. And that I would never have to fly economy again if I didn't want to 😂

Needmorelego · 09/11/2024 19:35

Buy my daughter every single colour Jellycat bunny available.
And a house to put said bunnies in.

Bizarred · 09/11/2024 19:35

Resign from work, go on a lovely holiday then buy an apartment in London, so I had somewhere to stay after all the theatre trips I'll be going on!

nomorehocuspocus · 09/11/2024 19:35

Right now? I'd buy loads of loud fireworks, go round the neighbours and shove the fireworks up their arse.

Wallabyone · 09/11/2024 19:36

I would move to a bigger house, and employ a housekeeper. I would keep teaching because I enjoy it, but would make my life easier with said housekeeper and lots more help with the cooking and laundry etc!

I would buy a flat in central London for us to use after nights out.

I would book lots of holidays and buy a holiday home in Florida ☀️

I would give to local charities and help close family and friends.

username7891 · 09/11/2024 19:36

I'd buy a detached house with a large private garden in a lovely area.

OhshutupSimonyounobhead · 09/11/2024 19:37

Resign from my job with immediate effect - nothing would give me greater pleasure than that phone call 😂

HappiestSleeping · 09/11/2024 19:37

Pay mortgage, debts etc.

I can't complain though as I've already won the lottery of life by snagging my wife.

KnopkaPixie · 09/11/2024 19:39

Go and live in Nosy Be, Madagascar.

floppybit · 09/11/2024 19:39

Leva my shitty job!! (Runs off to do lottery....)

BoobyDazzler · 09/11/2024 19:40

Make everyone I love very happy
never work again
Have lots of fun!

Coconuthotchocolate · 09/11/2024 19:40

Resign from my job. Buy a nice large house with a big garden. Give money to my sister and family.

go on holiday somewhere warm for a month.

ThisZippyDenimGoose · 09/11/2024 19:42

Take my family on an amazing holiday, pay off all of our debts, buy a lovely house and then have a think about my life I suppose. Grin

Antsinmypantsneedtodance · 09/11/2024 19:43

Tomorrow i'd have a fairly normal day and discuss what i'd do.

Monday i'd take my daughter to out local toy shop and spend a few thousand on toys to donate to our local children's gift appeal. She'd love helping me choose.

I'd donate a load of money to our local food bank that's open for all and supports a lot of very vunerable local people.

I'd then book 3 first class flights to NYC for thanksgiving day parade. And enjoy some NYC festive fun for a week.

I'd get an inteior designer in to sort house out and someone to landscape the garden.

And somewhere around that i'd pay off the mortgage and buy a second car.

Not sure i'd quit work. 15 million is alot but not enough to keep you busy managing it. I'd stay in my current job for now as would DH. The. Re-evaluate in 6 months. Mighg start a business or something.

squeakandbubble · 09/11/2024 19:43

I think about this more than I care to admit 😅 I have a list of 20 or so people I would want to give a significant about to (friends and family). I really want to open a zombie apocalypse experience in the old toys r us building near me! And save some so I don’t have to work again. I would probably do another degree in something theatrey and just live my best life!

hby9628 · 09/11/2024 19:44

Buy a horse
Get a bigger house
Reduce my hours at work

thepinkcow · 09/11/2024 19:44

I'd buy a house (currently renting).
Buy mum a house nearby and give her a mil to retire early.
Pay off Dsis mortgage for her.
A new car each for DH and I.
An amazing family holiday.
I'd stick a mil in the bank for each DC then I'd put the rest in the bank and let it gain interest while we decide what else we'd like to do.

Heybearu · 09/11/2024 19:47

Id give about 8 miliion away to charities and libraries, I think at the moment that would be NGOs that give aid for Palestine and my local hospital and a little to the kids school.

Pay off my debts
Pay off my current mortgage and buy my ex out if the house so I wouldn't have to move my family,
Do up my house (bathroom from 1960 here 🤣) then pay the mortgage or debts of a few people I know, my siblings and my ex in laws.

Buy occupational therapy sessions for my daughter and family therapy for all of the girls as my ex was violent

Get an electric car (kids are desperate for one that isn't 'killing the world'.

Put money for driving lessons and first car/ university fees and a decent house deposit or wedding away for my 3 girls.

Get Monjaro! And a tummy tuck!

I think I'm overthinking it a bit 🤣

SweetSakura · 09/11/2024 19:50

Drop to part time hours at work (I enjoy my job and colleagues so wouldn't want to stop it)

Help out family members who haven't been able to buy houses.

Put money aside for the children to be able to buy houses.

pay for some epic holidays

Give a decent chunk (at least a third) to charities or similar, mainly focusing on environmental charities and causes

kerstina · 09/11/2024 19:52

Buy a house in a certain little seaside in Pembrokeshire to live in not as a second home.

GMH1974 · 09/11/2024 19:52

Resign. Get a better house. Get my children housing in their university cities. Help out friends. Make donations to charities I support..

Isthiswhatitlookslike · 09/11/2024 19:52
