Celtic Manor in Newport. I bugger off on a solo spa trip as often as possible.

Hotel Cap Eden-Roc on Cap D'Antibes.

Burgh island in south Devon. It’s a real event staying there!

and further afield the Huka lodge near lake taupo in New Zealand. Absolutely spectacular.

Strong caveat that I sadly have not (yet) stayed in either but top of my hotel bucket list are the Banff Springs in Canada and Jade Mountain in St. Lucia. Raffles in Singapore is also high on the list.

BasiliskStare · 06/11/2024 13:12

UK - Burgh Island is a real treat. As is Gleneagles.

Recently stayed in the Grand Britannia hotel in Trondheim, Norway. Just fantastic! The room they serve breakfast in is stunning, and there’s an amazing spa in the basement with saunas, pools, steam rooms etc. The rooms are beautiful and modern. The staff were superb.

Burgh island
Pretty much any of the high end hotels in Oman

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 06/11/2024 13:19

Oh and my bucket list that I have been to is the one on the lake in India can't remember the name right now but it looks amazing.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 06/11/2024 13:19

Haven't!

Jimmyville · 06/11/2024 13:23

Oh wow some of these are just so exciting. I am googling away!

Any particular Oman ones @boulevardofbrokendreamss - the Chedi comes up on a quick search but perhaps you know of an OTBT one…?

And yes to Gleneagles! I have been lucky enough to stay there so that one is already cross off the (increasingly long) list…

Any Aman.

I've been wanting to go to Schloss Elmau in the German Alps for years. I've a big birthday a couple of years away - you've inspired me to start a savings fund!

@Jimmyville Shangri-La Banda Jissah, Chedi and Al Bustan are my favourite. Al Bustan is a little dated now but many years ago it was the first 6* in the world and the service is outstanding, it nearer to the Cornice and Muttrah souq.

Whoowhoo · 06/11/2024 13:27

Waterside in Bray.

hattie43 · 06/11/2024 13:32

Oberoi Jaipur

L'hôtellerie Bérard la Cadière d'Azur. Michelin starred just inland from Bandol in Provence.

I’ve stayed at the Shangri. La Al Husn which is the adult only of the complex - very nice!

I got married at kakskautten Igloo Village which is stunning. I also love the trashiness of the bellagio in Vegas and recently stayed at Marina Bay in Singapore which was nice. I don't like the olde style hotels like RAFFLES AND RITZ I like modern

piscofrisco · 06/11/2024 13:44

Came on to also say Burgh Island. It's magical.
The Newt in Somerset. Amazing.
The Tawny in Staffordshire.
