Hunt is not very good at this faux outrage, can understand why Sunak is hiding in his notebook

Oh I've just crumbled at watching her finish the first budget by a female chancellor and then seeing Starmers compete admiration for her.

Willowkins · 30/10/2024 13:52

I think she's done a good job. I wouldn't like to be JH following that.
Edited: oh it's RS - no wonder he was looking at his feet

Fantastic news. Just did a little fist bump. Schools dearly need the capital.

SpringSt3p · 30/10/2024 13:56

Did Sunak hear the same speech?

PandoraSox · 30/10/2024 13:56

She did really well. A good budget. Can't be bothered to listen to Sunak's response.

WomenInConstruction · 30/10/2024 13:57

Pretty good budget I thought.
She came across really well and handled the heckles well.
Jeremy Hunt - his face expressions make my skin crawl.

It didn't look like he was listening

I think Sunaks head was so far into his notebook he didn't listen 🤦‍♀️

DuncinToffee · 30/10/2024 13:58

Big boost to NHS spending - £22.6bn increase in day to day spending, £3.1bn increase in capital budge

dontcallmelen · 30/10/2024 13:58

Oh just fuck off Sunak

itsgettingweird · 30/10/2024 13:59

Oh amazing - she's managed to damage our economy single handedly on the past 30 minutes.

Now that's some achievement 😂😂

DuncinToffee · 30/10/2024 14:00

I have switched off now with Sunak

OBR report is out now

Private jet tax UP!

Willowkins · 30/10/2024 14:01

@StiffyByngsDogBartholomew She's increased the employment allowance from £5000 to £10,500.

dontcallmelen · 30/10/2024 14:01

He is such a lying little toad laughing at him saying take responsibility & stop blaming everyone else has he had a bout of amnesia.

cardibach · 30/10/2024 14:02

What is t(e point in Sunak lying about what the OBR report says when it’s go8ng to be published?
And what promises were broken?
He's wrong about Stamp Duty for first time buyers too, isn’t he? Wasn’t it just for second homes?

BustingBaoBun · 30/10/2024 14:06

I thought RR did well. Good presentation and if I can get my head round it, I think the detail is good
No idea what Sunak is blathering on about to be honest. As usual Tories talk like they haven't been in power for years.

itsgettingweird · 30/10/2024 14:08

I think because he was chancellor when we had these issues and didn't solve them as PM he is reacting with a personal face saving agenda.

SpringSt3p · 30/10/2024 14:08

What is Sunak wittering on about?

Llttledrummergirl · 30/10/2024 14:11

Thanks all. I shall be watching later after work, but between the bits I've heard, and your updates, I'm feeling very positive about it.

SerendipityJane · 30/10/2024 14:11

SpringSt3p · 30/10/2024 14:08

What is Sunak wittering on about?

TL;DR is probably "I would have done all of those things if the loony right had let me".

SpringSt3p · 30/10/2024 14:12

So glad we’re done with him. Hop on your private jet and sod off. We’ll have your private jet duty before you go thanks though. 😏

RR killed it. Great speech and great budget!
