Just heard on the news abroad he fell from the third floor off a hotel in Buenos Aires, if true it's very sad as he was so young and seemed like a lovely guy

What does it matter? You can die falling head first from a first floor window. The distance is irrelevant.

A 10 year old Irish girl tragically died after falling off a hotel balcony not long ago while on holidays abroad with her family.

Genuinely not faux nativity. I can tell it's a load of drug stuff. But I have no idea what kind of drugs and what all the things are around it.

I've never done drugs, nor have I been in the presence of anyone who has. So I'm just curious as to what all the stuff actually is. The posts on X are all in Spanish so i don't know what they say.

What the hell is going on? It’s absolutely tragic but it seems like there’s some sort of hotel guest/press frenzy of publicity going on over there, and now the bloody security ministry is at it too. FFS show some respect to the poor young man and his family, this is appalling. RIP Liam.

I was reading about him just the other day, as he's had such a rotten time lately.

He'd become a figure of fun on social media, with videos circulating comparing him to David Brent. There had just been an article in the Daily Mail basically saying when did he become such a joke? And listing all the ways people were taking the p*ss out of him recently. His ex girlfriend had come out saying he wasn't a good guy and had been weaponising his fans and basically harrassing her. He was being flamed for posting a video on social media announcing that he was going to Argentina for Niall Horan's concert, and then turning up and attention seeking - people were saying he should never have announced he was going first, and only did it for attention so that people would go to see him. And then there was the Will-Smith-Hitting-Chris-Rock-Interview saga where everyone was mocking him for being on coke.

And the papers - the rubbish ones of course, like the Daily Mail - loved it, and really jumped on the bandwagon and joined in with the mocking.

And now he's died. And I bet now, all the newspapers and influencers who have been essentially bullying him will be posting articles and videos trying to make money out of his death too.

When will people learn to treat others kindly in life and not only in death. Gosh. How sad this is.

They mean that they think he jumped. I don’t; three floors could be survivable and that’s not what you’re after if you’re jumping. I think it’s most like that he’d been drinking or taking drugs.

It’s terrible, he was so young and his son is just little.

ETA I didn't want to come across as snarky, a fiance of a friend of mine was up a ladder, think B&Q up high but not roof high & he fell off & he died instantly, it happens tragically

To all the posters condemning the poster for ‘faux naivety’ around drugs. There a number of different drugs that can be smoked with a foil. You won’t be able to ascertain that from a photograph.

Because third floor is not 40 meters! And I don’t think it’s a good idea to let people go around saying nonsense. Even with ground floor, 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor… you’re not adding up to 40 meters. Floors aren’t 10 meters each. It’s nonsense and someone else without their own intelligence will read it and repeat it somewhere.

Im the same age and spend a lot of time on Instagram and twitter. In the last week or so there have been A LOT of posts comparing him to David Brent and just generally taking the piss. Even big commentary YouTubers have jumped on the bandwagon.

I actually know someone in his immediate family so know he is a genuinely sweet guy. And he came across that way when he wasn’t pretending to be someone he is not. So I always commented saying things like “yeah he’s cringe but this pile on is a bit much”. And I would get heartless responses like “womp womp”. I remember thinking he is having the absolute piss taken out of him by the whole internet and it can’t be nice. His sobriety had clearly lapsed whilst he was in Argentina.

I hope it was an accident. Because the piss taking was relentless. All over my feeds. And out of nowhere in the last week or so.
