I find it really difficult to have only a couple of custard creams. Especially with a cuppa. Bought a packet the other day & ate about 7! They’re not my favourite but they’re so moreish!

I’m sure I could polish off a pack of those fruit shortcakes

Fig rolls (although my family are appalled at my love of a fig roll). It's the joy of perfecting the technique of eating the sides first, then top, and then if highly skilled, the bottom. Leaving the fig bit for the grand finale.

Fig rolls. They are so unpopular most places don't even sell them any more but I love that mix of plain crunchy outside and chewy sweet middle. I can eat a whole packet at once.

I find shop-bought biscuits very easy to resist nowadays, although I used to eat them. As a child I liked custard creams but I now find them very cloying and tasteless.

I sometimes make my own biscuits, from parmesan, cheddar and ground almonds. Now they are very moreish!

I’m in shock you only ate 7!
I can finish a whole pack of fig rolls or Jammie dodgers

Jaffa cakes and Cadburys fingers.

Yeah this. Full packet in one sitting

helloyoumums · 28/09/2024 22:26

Chocolate digestives, chocolate hobnobs, Oreos, chocolate lesbians - seeing a potential chocolate theme emerging 😬

Redcrayons · 28/09/2024 22:27

bahlsen choco lebniez for me as well. I bite all the chocolate off and then eat the biscuit bit. Even the fake aldi ones do it for me.

mind you I’d never turn a second (or seventh) custard cream down.

Anything made by Moores. They are lovely. https://www.moores-biscuits.co.uk/

nb. the knobs are great with cheese, but their sweet biscuits - especially the white chocolate and brazil nut are excellent.

BeBesideTheSea · 28/09/2024 22:29

Those really thin, melt-in-the-mouth ginger ones from ikea.

Iceland do them x

SheilaFentiman · 28/09/2024 22:32

Agree on the Petit Beurre. I cannot buy them

HangingOver · 28/09/2024 22:34

Oreos, especially the golden ones.

Crispynoodle · 28/09/2024 22:35

Lidl and M&S Jaffa cakes are the best the 'real' ones are awfully dry. I can just about stop after 1 packet....

jay55 · 28/09/2024 22:37

Chocolate fingers. I swear it's like there are only 3 in a box.

betsyfloormop · 28/09/2024 22:39

Custard creams. The devils biscuit.

RabbitsRock · 28/09/2024 22:41

Ooh yes love toffee pops! And actually fruit shortcake are quite possibly worse than custard creams!

I hate to make the situation worse but sainsbury's have just brought out some gingerbread custard creams and they are incredible.

annaspanner18 · 28/09/2024 22:46

Hob Nobs. Always hob nobs. My Achilles heel.

MustardPie · 28/09/2024 22:46
