Oasis tickets

1000 replies

Helplessandheartbroke · 30/08/2024 23:56

So I didn't make the ballot so missed out on the pre sale and I'm angered that viagogo have purchased a load of pre sale tickets and are selling them for 600 quid each! It's a dream to see oasis in Manchester (my home town) and its looking very unlikely unless some miracle happens in the queue for general sale tomorrow... just ranting but please keep your fingers crossed for me

According to Ticketmaster there is "Low Availability" for Dublin on Saturday and Sunday....who is guessing that they'll announce a few more dates around midday today and then we'll be back at the back of the queue again...

Yes, I am.

No moral compass?

OonaStubbs · 31/08/2024 11:30

Why don't Oasis just sell the tickets at crazy prices instead of letting middlemen make all the money?

Yep this. ^ 1000s and 1000s of people are being wildly unsuccessful. Even when they join the queue online on the dot of 9am - when the lines open!)

There's some utter trash being written here by some people, desperately trying to make out that fans aren't being REMOTELY ripped off. 🙄

They are either in cahoots with the organisations doing it, or they are deliriously naïve and blinkered, and have been gaslighted into thinking that all this drama (and these over-inflated ticket prices,) is 'OK' and 'normal.' Bollocks, it's not! Raise your bar FFS!

I used to go to lots of concerts with my DC - and my friends (between 2003 and 2013-ish,) and this NEVER happened. You would ring up and get your tickets, (or order them from the website,) OR trot along to the venue and purchase them there, AT THE NORMAL PRICE - like £29 to £49 at the time. Very few were more than that. Yes really!!! And then you'd rock up to the concert several months later when it was on.

All this getting up at the crack of dawn, and waiting with bated breath for the lines to open, being No. 17,000 in the queue, (and then after 3 hours of waiting you get booted out,) is a load of shit. No-one should be having to do this. Some people on Twitter/X have been saying they waited for 2 hours and then got booted off, and then found themselves blocked from the site. Probably going to have to pay 4 figures for a ticket now.

Absolute fucking racket. Utter con.

Anyone who pays more than a couple of hundred for a ticket is an absolute mug who is playing into the hands of these rip off merchants. Like fuck would I pay it.

.

Edited

I love how angry you are about something that has zero impact on you right now - I'm sure you spend your money on things that I wouldn't, but I don't think that makes you 'an absolute mug'. Let's be clear - no one wants to pay these prices, we would all love it if the system was different and we didn't have to. I last saw Oasis in 2009 and paid about £40 and but that was 15 years ago and things change, heck I'd like to get my weekly shop for £10.50 or buy a house for £17,000 but I can't fucking do that either. My advice to you is sit back down, close this thread, and mind your own business.

This is ridiculous. What a load of mugs we all are!

Don't include me in that! Shock I wouldn't allow myself to get ripped off like this! I think people lose their sanity for a wee while when it comes to shit like this.

Can someone explain how you know your position in the queue and how you have already selected a date? We just have the blue bar showing progress…

Yeah, thanks for the advice hun, but I don't think I will sit back down and close the thread and mind my own business. I was gonna leave it and move on, but I think I'll stay a while now.

That's the other thing, there may well be extra dates that pop up later today. We don't know. There is always a chance.

I find it super weird that Heaton Park has a random single mid week show though. I would not be remotely surprised by a Tuesday or Thursday show appearing.

Lemonhead88 · 31/08/2024 11:32

For a feminist, you're doing a really good job of shitting on other women here.

Some tickets are still available! Got 4x for Cardiff Saturday night!

Finally got the chance of getting tickets and the only ones left were for £500. Can't afford that.

roundsquares · 31/08/2024 11:34

Got to the end of the queue for Croke, only tickets left were €415 each. So I bowed out.

Anyone still in the queue for Croke I hope you have deep pockets 🥲.

There are bands I’d pay that £ for a ticket but unfortunately Oasis are not on that level for me.

Hmmm, yes .... quite. Wink If only the actual ACTS would take some responsibility for the ludicrously over-inflated ticket prices!

Sounds like you are in another queue which is just to access the website. I'm in that queue on one browser as well after getting kicked off on one of the Wembley dates.

Sorry to say but I don't think you've got much hope if you're not yet in the queue for a date, but keep holding on just in case.

For a feminist, you're doing a really good job of shitting on other women here.

It's funny how female fans have always been derided. Either you fancied Noel or Liam but weren't into the music. Apparently all fans are men in their 50s who fling beer. Or you are a traitor to feminism.

It's really boring.

Fuck that. Feminism is about women doing what they want because they want to. Without being shat on for doing so.

That's disgusting. Sadly, some people are daft enough to pay it. Sad

They charge the prices they do because there are mugs willing to pay.

people have been warned that tickets not purchased from the official resale sites will be cancelled.

They said the same thing for all the Taylor swift concerts

Problem is viagogo etc is just a 3rd party and the tickets are transferred to your ticketmaster account from the private seller. The venue then has no way to prove if they were transferred by a tout or a friend/relative
