Death, it's a misconception that it's not practical unless you're a big family. You just need to determine the items that best suit your needs to stock up on. ie I split packages of chicken, lamb etc into portions and freeze. Loo roll and kitchen towel are other items worth buying.
So are bath soap, shampoo, lotions (my face lotion is a huge savings!), pharmacy items, a lot, actually. You'd have to take time on the web-site.
The only thing I'm thinking in your case is that it would be difficult if you're not driving to carry items home by bus. We have delivery here, but the mark-up negates the savings, so I've only used it once and the shoppers aren't careful, so won't choose the best produce. 😡
You get about 1/3 more for the price on average otherwise, which is considerable.
