Do you sunbathe topless?

Inspired by the other thread - sunbathing topless is apparently very popular among Mumsnetters, just curious how many of us do it!

Never do abroad but have done when they were perkier to put it mildly
Not overlooked at home so absolutely have been walking round in pants only for the past week!

I do in Spain, and absolutely love it. Why - get no tan lines on chest/ shoulders. Also, love the freedom - I dont like wearing bras and avoid them if I can, love the breeze n my body and love swimming topless. Can't go without pants as I'm squeamish and feel my bits need protection from the elements. Also, weirdly, I feel that my fanny is a sexual organ and my boobs are, well, boobs - part of my body and not that sexual.

I'm a middle age woman with less then perfect figure, always felt self conscious but since going to Spanish nude beaches I realised I'm OK. )) It was very liberating.

Sunbathing topless was definitely done more in the 80s and 90s.

It's a weird dichotomy; we're generally much more liberal and open about sexuality now yet hardly anyone sunbathes topless.

Why do people get so worked up about tan lines? Who is going to see them?

I have a faint one on my wrist because I wear a watch.

Yes, very freeing. I hate bras and I love the feeling of fresh air and sunshine on my chest.

It was really common in the 70s and 80s in Med resorts. Probably more women topless than not on beach and round pool.
It's much more unusual nowadays and I don't remember seeing any topless women when we took DC abroad late 90s to 2018.
