Why even give these people a fair trial, that's what
I cannot comprehend.

Fizbosshoes · 30/07/2024 12:49

It's beyond heartbreaking.
When you fill in emergency details on a holiday club form the worst you expect is that they throw up or some minor medical incident snd you need to collect,....not this. It's literally incomprehensible to think about

babiesonthecarpet · 30/07/2024 12:51

I just can’t stop thinking about it. I have two daughters myself and one of them is in the same age range as the girls at the dance class. It’s just devastating and I am so heartbroken for everyone involved.

Airbrb · 30/07/2024 12:52

I don’t agree with the death penalty in general, but since there is zero doubt over the identity of the stabbed the crime is ridiculously heinous on completely innocent victims, I do think that he should face the death penalty, without trial.

Airbrb · 30/07/2024 12:52

Identity of the stabber, not the stabbed

AnneShirleysNewDress · 30/07/2024 12:53

Absolutely awful. I'm so sorry for all those involved. To target young girls in this way is abhorrent.

AnnieMcFanny · 30/07/2024 12:54

People say this has to stop. But how? How do we stop it? I’m actually quite resigned to the fact this will happen again and again and that we will never be able to stop it. And I know that must sound awful. But if we can stop it happening I wish someone would tell me how. I don’t want to live accepting that these things happen.

TurquoiseDress · 30/07/2024 12:54

So awful, absolutely horrific

It's incomprehensible how somebody could do that to anyone let alone young children

SadFlowers

HRTQueen · 30/07/2024 12:57

It is absolutely tragic for all those involved and will have very long lasting impact on so many

its disgusting to turn this into a racist point scoring argument

It's important for validation and closure for the parents and loved ones.

Userjfxkgxkgxkgxkgx · 30/07/2024 13:00

He’s been in Southport since 2013 so highly likely he went to local schools, he clearly knew where he was going

Hoppinggreen · 30/07/2024 13:02

The murderer in this case was born in Cardiff
We should definitely send Welsh people back to where they came from and any Welsh people who don't instantly disavow this person and his actions are obviously scum who condone it and should also be sent back to Wales immediately. Alll Welsh born politicians should make a statement in The Commons as well or be removed from their posts.
Perhaps the Rwanda idea could be repurposed???

Irony in case anyone misses it.

Lifeomars · 30/07/2024 13:02

Made me cry I have just put the lunchtime news on and this is of course the lead item and then followed by the inquest into the crossbow murders. Sometimes the news is beyond grim, lives ended and lives torn apart.

To understand what might have gone wrong, to learn from, for the families and those closely involved to feel justice has been done and help them with their grief (not that they shall ever stop grieving)

There should always be trial and inquires we can always learn

According to the daily mail article the couple came from Rwanda with two small children.
I don't think it's necessarily the case that the murderer was born in Cardiff.

Breadcat24 · 30/07/2024 13:05

Whatever his "reasons" for this the person doing this attack is obviously mentally unwell.
what possible motive could he have to harm such young innocent children?
I do hope however that unlike the Nottingham attack that killed 2 students, if this attacker is sent to a psychiatric facility there is some kind of minimum term set even if they are subsequently stabilized by medication.
I do not think this person should ever be out again on the streets and I think it would be offensive to the poor families who have lost their children is he was.

Same I have a little girl a similar age and it’s really hit me

What that attacker did is so abhorrent and upsetting

The BBC is reporting he was born in Wales.

harrisharrisharris · 30/07/2024 13:07

So very sad, and children and teacher still critical condition. I don’t know what the answers are except that communities matter. Many people tried to help. Something in that perhaps.

There’s conflicting stories. Some say he arrived with his parents when he was age 6. Others say he was born in Cardiff. If there was more than one child, there may be confusion as to who was born where and when

Lifeomars · 30/07/2024 13:08

ErrolTheDragon · 30/07/2024 12:42

They've got details on the completely false rubbish from a US site claiming the perpetrator was a Muslim immigrant who'd come on a boat last year, and also the correct info re him being born in Cardiff.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cevwgqz0x41t

Twitter was full of the most horrifically right wing posts yesterday, no sympathy for the victims, no admiration for the exceptionally courageous people who did all they could to protect the children, just vicious rumour mongering to support their particular agenda. To see such a terrible event only in terms of furthering extreme views is deeply disturbing

Twistybranch · 30/07/2024 13:08

So many are still critical, I’m fearing that the number will rise.

The info on the bbc website says he and his older brother were born in Cardiff. No confusion.
I've just this moment heard the same thing on the one o'clock news.

I'm inclined to think 'conflicting stories' are most likely shitstirring.

Misogyny? He deliberately targeted little girls
