As a proud Welsh woman, who has raised an independent strong and apparently English daughter I don't know where I have gone wrong. Could these home nationists advise me please.

RafaistheKingofClay · 18/06/2024 18:58

That’s quite a failure @L1ttledrummergirl. You should have done better there.

I have seen my first Conservative placard in the wild. It’s a bit of a sea of Lib Dem signs here at the moment so I assume the local MP thought he’d better make an effort.

user8800 · 18/06/2024 19:01

Went to town today
Lots of reform placards in the neighbouring county
Was always quite ukippy

Farage = c*nt + tree =country.

Another thank you from me, although I’m usually in a permanent state of stupidity so unsurprisingly I needed help in figuring it out.
bloody hell that SEN school story is horrible those poor children.
did I imagine it or did Gordon Brown do some work around reforming the HoL?
thank you for the laughs with the vetting nonsense, cheered me up no end.
my prospective Labour candidates campaign is really very well organised im very impressed with the sheer amount of campaigning they are doing.

L1ttledrummergirl · 18/06/2024 19:08

We are currently in Cornwall, we've been travelling to different tourist attractions so moving around the county and I've yet to see a sign of any colour.

Farage = c*nt + tree =country.

Some 1980s graffiti went

"Once we were an Empire, so we had an emperor;
Then we became a Kingdom, so we had a king.
Now we are a country and we have Maggie Thatcher".

or, from my student union

"America is a great place. They have Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Stevie Wonder. Here in Britain we have Maggie Thatcher, no cash, and no fucking wonder."

L1ttledrummergirl · 18/06/2024 19:12

I'm trying to avoid the SEN story. It reminds me of exactly why my vulnerable family member will never be left alone in the care of anyone who isn't family.

It sickens and distresses me to think of vulnerable people being left in the care of abusers, yet caring is deemed to be something that is low skilled, when it is the most important thing we can do for another human being.

LlynTegid · 18/06/2024 19:13

Evenstar · 18/06/2024 16:54

Edited

I would prefer such signs to be covered up or something put alongside such as the 'he left them on the beaches' picture.

Igotjelly · 18/06/2024 19:13

I’m quite enjoying Alastair Campbell absolutely trolling Nigel Farage. Latest iteration: x.com/campbellclaret/status/1802998765818642645

Another reason I am keen on the libs - their carers and social care policies are spot on.

Looks like the vetting company used by Ukip Reform wasn't actually a vetting company but a portal.

However Farage has trashed their public reputation and spaffed £144k of members subs on them

Members?

Surely you mean investors?

dontcallmelen · 18/06/2024 19:23

L1ttledrummer 100% agree, the care should be of the highest quality shameful that it isn’t.
Fabio just reiterating you won’t be cut off, it’s a very process before that could be an option, I’m very sorry you are struggling 💐

DuncinToffee · 18/06/2024 19:34

SE Cornwall here, a few Labour ones (me inc) LD's and Reform, only seen a Tory one in West Devon.

Die hard Tories i know, i push towards Reform, rather than have the revolting Murray back in.

Caudwell? drowning rat, jumping ship....

Piggywaspushed · 18/06/2024 19:44

Affluent middle class town on a posh main road has almost every gatepost adorned with a Labour board! Not seen anything else.

Still only the one (LD) leaflet through my door and no canvassers.

DuncinToffee · 18/06/2024 19:45

They are tossers!

I think I just accidentally outed myself on here (hence the deleted post!). Hoping no one saw it!

MRP Poll | Labour Majority of 256:

LAB: 453 (+257)
CON: 115 (-257)
LDM: 38 (+30)
SNP: 15 (-33)
RFM: 3 (+3)
PLC: 4 (+2)
GRN: 3 (+2)

Via @IpsosUK, 7-12 Jun.
Changes w/ GE2019 Notionals.

This is an MRP where is the polling data (n~20k) is from a probability sample, which is a big deal. I believe this is the first time one has been published in the UK...

I didn't see it IClaudine

Neither did I
i so want the Lib Dems to be the official opposition, slightly concerned about the three for reform though.
