Friend of the thread "My names Phil" noted that the Tories appear (probably from necessity) to have settled on a strong negative campaign. With a footnote that it's never really worked and it's what lost the Brexit referendum. The irony that the lessons are being learned by some and not others does warm the cockles slightly.
It's hard to avoid the feeling that the Tories are now like a company that is clearly going to go bust soon. All the talent they really can't afford to lose has long since fucked off (or been kicked out). So you are left with the useless third of the party. In fact I think a good way to swerve bot activity for a while would be to refer to the Tories as "Golgafrincham B Ark". Knowing that some distinguished commentators will think that's a Scottish constituency.
