right wing media, GB News and a million social media bots will cheer him every step of the way

The latter are at work on MN today, I am sure of it.

They are. A vigorous defence of him has been mounted elsewhere.

Just flown in from work and out again to take ds training.

Listened to Cleverly on way to work on R4.

Another car crash interview.

All about what Labour and reform won't do.

They cannot or will not discuss what they - The Tory's - will do.

How do they expect us to vote for them when we are solely voting because they say so not because they promise us a future worth living.

HannibalHeyes · 04/06/2024 16:38

Who funds Farage?

All the usual candidates. Bannon and his nazi friends in the US, Putin as he always has done, plus all the usual disaster capitalist culprits in the UK, including those based in Tufton Street. There are large numbers of extremely wealthy people who want to use his ilk to enable them to take control of governments, un much the way they have already taken control of the Tories.

"So who's funding Farage?"

Isn't that the main question.

Tice has chucked £2.5 million at Reform. A lot of that will be sucked up in admin costs of running a national campaign.
So I doubt that will keep Farage in Coutts accounts.

I'd have a look at Paul Marshalls connections.
I'm still hoping a journalist picks up American Christian Right funding TBH. It stinks to high hell. I have to stay away from fear of getting sucked into conspiracy theorist thinking.

I spent a lot of time in Clacton in my 'youth'. It was a bit down at heel in those days. But its so got so much worse - it needs investment and frankly a lot more politicians to visit and talk to people.

Farage is obviously an opportunist but populists get their foot through the door when people feel ignored and left behind. We should have learnt these lessons after the shit show of Brexit.

Me too my auntie lived not far from Clacton & spent many a school holiday.
totally agree these places have been ignored for far to long by conservatives & Labour Yy proper investment & consultation at grass roots within the areas not some made up nonsense on the back of an envelope & funding that actually is forthcoming not pie in the sky figures, the deprivation endured by such areas has no place in a country as rich as the U.K.

Absolutely they’ve been very busy today.

Notonthestairs · 04/06/2024 17:45

Another forgotten about area with some similarities to Clacton - Great Yarmouth (many more scenes from my youth!).

I've linked below to the campaign from Keir Cozens in GY - not because he's a Labour candidate but his genuine enthusiasm & love for the area. He wants to be there! Something Farage will never offer Clacton.

That's what I want to see from an MP from any party.

There is certainly some cross over between Marshalls GBNews & Farage.

So who's funding Farage?

I reckon Aaron Banks. No evidence though.

Notonthestairs · 04/06/2024 18:19

The next question is who funds Banks!

DuncinToffee · 04/06/2024 18:20

Some of the company he is keeping

Never mind the milkshake. The real #Clacton story is that Nigel Farage is being escorted by fraudster & convicted felon "Posh George" Cottrell.

More on Cottrell and various other crooks with whom Farage has close links in this by me for BylineTimes

ask Carole Cadwalladr

or Peter Jukes

https://x.com/peterjukes/status/1497899452438351876

It’s nearly FOUR YEARS AGO that Carole and I first reported on Nigel Farage’s Leave EU team’s multiple undisclosed meetings with the Russian Government

44 Months Putin given a free rein by the UK to rearm and plot war in Europe

Allegations on Twitter that the milkshake incident was staged

I’m kind of glad about that. I don’t like throwing liquid stunts. Not because I care a jot about Farage being made to look like a milkshaked bellend but because if someone can get that close with liquid, it might be acid. And I can’t wish that on anyone, so I’d rather think that security can do their job (or not, in this case).
Same with sending parcels full of dog shit, which has also happened this week. It’s hugely unfair to constituency office staff who are the ones who open /handle it. So I don’t come across as a massive Fun Sponge, I’ll say I did laugh at social media comments along the lines of “ Not to worry, turns out it was just the Tory Manifesto” and “Just a present from United Utilities for all the Tory support spreading shit around”.

HannibalHeyes · 04/06/2024 19:07

Just thought I'd share this, as, apparently, it keeps getting taken down from twitter...

Doesn’t it just, the old saying “Judged by the company you keep” seems very apt.
