Which is what the IMF said yesterday, that Hunt should not have cut 4% of NI, as UK national debt set to rise still further & we need to get that down, in case of any other shocks to the economy.

I am hearing that there is currently a stage being built at the ExCeL for a Conservative Party event this evening – around 8pm.

Given reports of an announcement outside Number 10 around 5pm, could this be some kind of follow up launch?

I think it's a given now - the BBC would be unlikely to be speculating this close to whatever the announcement is.

I think they can still step down - selections will have to be done at warp speed however which wont endear them to their local party or CCHQ.
