Only Fools and Horses (the cluttered but very cozy looking flat), all the lovely friendships and Grandad's dinners ♥️

Downton Abbey (something about it makes me want to get into bed on a dark night with the lamp on)

The Crown. The music just mesmerizes me

Gavin and Stacey. So much love and affection in both families

Derek with Ricky G. Again, so much love in that care home

(Side note - I absolutely love Friends but wouldn't say it relaxes me or that I'd want to be in their shoes. Too much dating / job struggling! More of a Saturday afternoon thing than Sunday night viewing... oh never mind I know what I mean)

Modern Family is our go-to comfort watch here.
About 10 years ago, after a distressing house move, it was Doc Martin for me.

The Doghouse
Matchmaking between dogs and potential new owners....
Does this only happen to facilitate the tv show, or if I went to that dog home, would they "match" me too, but without having to appear on tv?

Still love the show tho'...

Most tecently I have said to DH that I feel the world is a better place for me with Professor T in it, and knowing I can watch it whenever I want to. I love it.

The 1995 production of Pride and Prejudice mentioned by a previous poster was a true friend to me in 2013. It got me through the night, wrapped up and intermittently dozing on the sofa, when I didn't know if DH was living or dead in a foreign intensive care unit. It got me through till daybreak, when I could speak to someone more sensible. I will be forever grateful.

Gone Fishing with Paul Whitehouse & Bob Mortimer.

I have no interest in fishing, but the show is really wholesome and funny, when it finishes you just feel better than you did before it started.

This!
The filming, the soundtrack, the scenery.
The two of them just chatting and laughing together.
It's my perfect Sunday evening watch.

The Repair Shop
All Creatures Great and Small
Downtown Abbey

Any movie with a plane landing on a beach 😄

Also, I used to love 24 hours in A and E until that horrific ankle episode and now I can never watch it again. Why didn’t they just put a warning on it!!!! I love that an all.

Thank you for this, I just looked it up and about to give episode one a go. Thanks a lot for this great thread. I’m going to watch the fishing also. I need the warmth.
