Do most people have a special Easter lunch.

(Assuming that it doesn’t clash with your own beliefs) but if not do you celebrate it?

Personally I’ve never known anyone who does make a special lunch but then Sunday roasts don’t seem to be as popular here as in other parts of the country.

We always have some sort of celebratory meal.

Growing up we always had fish on Good Friday, roast lamb on Sunday and ‘bacon & cabbage’ (Irish Catholic family) on Monday. Easter Monday was one of the rare times my parents had alcohol at home, too.

I just do a roast of some description over Easter weekend. I was planning on roast chicken today, but we’ve decided on a takeaway instead so I’ll do a roast tomorrow instead.
