Who is your favourite Gladiator?

We've been watching this every week with the kids and have been pleasantly surprised that it's something that we're all really enjoying, even our hard to drag away from his computer teen boy sits down willingly.

Our family favourite is definitely Legend, he's hilarious and we all hope that when he's competing that he'll be interviewed at the end. Loved the bit where he complained about the lights being in his eyes when he failed on the Wall.

From the women it's a toss-up between Sabre and Fury. Oh to have the confidence of Sabre! And Fury is just awesome and so fierce.

I really like Diamond and Phantom.

DH likes Legend and thinks he’s really funny but I find him too annoying

She's just not very good! Has she won a single event? Feels like she's brought out like Viper - for an easy win for a contestant who's a few points behind.

You can see it happening though. Like tonight's Duel with Bionic - oh, how did he do so badly? I immediately said "so the other guy's facing Viper later" and there was the easy win against Viper on the Wall.

We like legend as he's funny.

All like fury aswell, my DC and I wear hearing aids so great to see deaf representation in gladiators!

I want the Wall to be harder - seems like shortening the time between contestant and Gladiator would be more fun. And don't have a Gladiator who claims to be the Wall Master who can't win it (Comet).

Gauntlet used to be my favourite, it's too easy now. And bring back the one where they ran around in giant spheres.

I like all of them really.

Hunter from the original Gladiators used to be my neighbour until we moved.

Sabre!! She’s incredible. Love her feisty personality. Also she’s gorgeous.

Fury is a close second.

Of the guys... probably Nitro or Giant.

We've all loved this series. We loved the original series and it's been truly great to recreate the feeling with our own DC. We rarely watch programmes that we all enjoy!

From the original, Lightning was my absolute favourite. Also Jet and Nightshade. And of course Hunter from the men.

I also loved Tempest from the Sky One reboot.

We can't stand Sabre in this house. So much camera shagging. Love Fury, Dynamite and Athena- strong, powerful athletes without making it slutty.

Love Giant and Nitro too. Legend is hilarious - he's so pantomime the kids love it.

I think they will need to adjust a couple of
events for the next series. The Wall needs a smaller gap between the contestants and Gladiators. Gauntlet is way too easy. The pads the Gladiators have are useless. I also think Hang Tough and The Wall should be on every episode!

Agree, it's the TV show Saturday night has been crying out for. The first thing we've watched as a family live for ages. My kids love Diamond and Dynamite. Not sure that the Walshes were the right choice for hosts though

Gauntlet seems too easy but Duel seems too hard for the men - putting them up against Giant is basically a foregone conclusion!

I don't mind the Walshes hosting, although Bradley is obviously far better at it. I'm just glad it's not Ant and Dec!

The young presenter Bradley I think does a great job presenting considering lack of experience. People need to give him a chance.

I prefer Barney to Bradley.

I don't mind them either. I think Barney is unfortunately not blessed with his dad's charisma, but Bradley makes it work. I mean, it's not like comedy duos of "charismatic funnyman" and "awkward unfunny guy" haven't made it before.

We all have different favourites in our house but its so nice for us all to sit down and enjoy it together. Reminds me of my childhood!

I've watched Legend for years on YouTube as he's a fitness vlogger called Matt does Fitness.

He's just a normal guy with 2 kids. Seems really sweet and down to earth. He also just built a brand new home, so he isn't short of cash!

Is it Fury that is the professional rugby player? She is totally awesome, SO strong and def my fave of the women. And of course representing the deaf community which is fab. Actually my favourite overall.

It makes me laugh when 6 foot Diamond picks up a competitor over her shoulder like a sack of tatties.

I also like pocket rocket Dynamite.

I'm not convinced by Fire, she doesn't look comfortable in front of the camera and even her intro skit with blowing a kiss looks nervous and fake.

Giant is I think my fave of the men - he just seems like a really kind decent bloke!

Nitro is great for that smiley happy energy. I recognise him from athletics.

Legend was sort of funny to start but is getting a bit tiresome now with the same routine every time.

Viper can't carry off the bad guy act, crap acting.

Some gladiators don't stand out for some reason - Bionic in particular. Is he anyone's favourite? Nothing wrong with his performance. He just seems overshadowed by the other characters

I've just done the maths and the reason that Bionic is no-one's favourite is because he has only appeared in 3 games according to wiki (doesn't include last night's episode), and two of those were Gauntlet where he's in with 3 others. Nitro, Legend and Steel on the other hand have appeared in 10.

Poor, overlooked Bionic.
