Who is your favourite Gladiator?

We've been watching this every week with the kids and have been pleasantly surprised that it's something that we're all really enjoying, even our hard to drag away from his computer teen boy sits down willingly.

Our family favourite is definitely Legend, he's hilarious and we all hope that when he's competing that he'll be interviewed at the end. Loved the bit where he complained about the lights being in his eyes when he failed on the Wall.

From the women it's a toss-up between Sabre and Fury. Oh to have the confidence of Sabre! And Fury is just awesome and so fierce.

My DH impressively identified Apollo as an ex England rugby player who's also played pro NFL! Which I think is why he has a less extreme physique than the others

I find the Bradley and Barnaby presenters so unsuited to the show and annoying. There are so many better options.
Nitro, Diamond and Sabre are my favourites.

The mention of Apollo has made me wonder why some Gladiators are used far more than the others. I just remembered that I really like Comet but I'd completely forgotten about her as she's barely on.

It would be interesting to see them against each other. I guess they might practice together?

Legend, so funny and Fury, inspiring. Difficult to pick but really loving it.

Viper is always so overdramatic with it all though!
Obviously they're playing a part but was Wolf that overdramatic?!!

My son loves viper and phantom! I like sabre!

Fury is my favourite, because my little girl is deaf too and having a deaf gladiator is awesome.

I love nitro and phantom, especially when they're together and they do their routines!
Also Giant. For all the right reasons. And all the wrong ones.

Fury is my favourite female gladiator. She's lovely.

Legend is very funny. Definitely plays his role well.

Kids love Diamond, Giant and Nitro. And viper.

DS likes Nitro. DD1 likes Diamonds and Sabre and SD2 likes Fire and Fury. All enjoy booing when Viper comes on :)

My favourites are Fury and Nitro.

DH and I were trying to match them to the originals:

Viper = Wolf
Dynamite = Jet
Legend = Hunter

Legend makes us giggle - he hams it up to Panto levels. I really like his social media page where he does little challenges with his son Luca. They're a really lovely little family.

That Sabre one is a bit cocky but is hamming it up, as with Legend. Like Fury, too.

I just love that it's back! There are so few shows that the whole family can get into. It's good, old fashioned Saturday night telly and I hope it lasts.

Viper is just annoying, Wolf played his bad guy part much better and even Legend plays is better in this new series. Feel sorry for Quang that plays Viper if that's what he's been told to do.

Nitro looks like he's a member of every lads banter group on WhatsApp 🤣🤣

We like phantom and fury but I get really wound up every week as no one ties up long hair 😂 I spent years asking anyone with long hair to tie it back for a PE lesson and these gladiators all have their (beautiful!) flowing locks all over the place -
they’re making a mockery of us 😂
also the costumes don’t seem very fit for purpose, I don’t think there has been a single episode where a helmet or a shoe hasn’t come off!
We are really enjoying it though, just ds and I have been watching. Dh and dd aren’t interested.

My DDs love Electro because they think she's the Electro from Spidey

Agree with most of these comments, it's been great to watch with the kids.

Have to say, Bradley and his son aren't great. The son just looks so out of his depth. There's so many more professionals who could have done the job a million times better

I fancy the pants off Sabre, Fury and Nitro. And they all seem to have so much fun. Athena is the most beautiful of them all though.

Giant won't be back next series, a video of him boasting about using steroids has surfaced.

Legend is a better heel than Viper.

Dynamite is out of her depth, hopefully she gets better with more practise.

We are team Nitro and Diamond. Tbh I like all of them though and it’s great to have some healthy role models for the kids! Even little kids get that Viper and legend are hamming it up for the cameras!

I actually like them all. Faves in our house are definitely Sabre, Nitro and legend.

Ah no I quite like Giant, for how giant he is! 😂
