Intense celebrity crush: menopause or madness

I previously considered myself a pretty sensible 40 year old. I went, as is tradition, with my DH & DCs to the Christmas panto.
I was really not expecting to develop the most intense weak-at-the knees teenage-style crush on the panto baddie (who was the most amazing actor and extremely attractive, but probably a decade younger than me and wearing a really bad wig). I keep obsessively googling to see photos of him and I’m starting to feel that I’m going mad.
Has anyone else every experienced this? Is it my age, will it pass?

I’m 43 and perimenopausal: I had the most ridiculous lightning-bolt, weak at the knees attraction to a stranger I met through work last year. So bizarre as I’m happily married and don’t really do crushes so would love to blame my hormones! Circumstances meant that we were looking at each other across a room for a couple 3 hours without being able to speak at all. We did then speak and have a little flirt before going our separate ways and never seeing each other again. It was hot AF and I still think about him often.
