Who knew what?

JoyeuxNarwhal · 18/12/2023 23:03

Huh?

Torganer · 18/12/2023 23:04

What have they done?

Underthesea65 · 18/12/2023 23:04

That is Chocolonely and not chocoloney

OP posts:
Fern86 · 18/12/2023 23:04

I was wondering if it was always that or just changed recently so we just think we never noticed….
I’ve had it before but never rally noticed!

Beautifulfriend · 18/12/2023 23:04

I knew

Pigeonqueen · 18/12/2023 23:04

Not a clue what you’re insinuating but it just tastes like Yorkie to me; I don’t get the fuss at all.

NuffSaidSam · 18/12/2023 23:05

I only found this out fairly recently.

Ragwort · 18/12/2023 23:06

Agree Pigeon ... it is sold where I work and people rave about it and spend ££££s but I just don't see why it is so popular- much nicer chocolate available in my opinion.

JudyGemstone · 18/12/2023 23:06

I knew, it says it on the wrapper.
it’s a stupid name.

I agree, I don't get the fuss either

cezannesapple · 18/12/2023 23:08

It’s not very good chocolate so don’t get the love.

IBegYourBiggestPardon · 18/12/2023 23:09

It's bloody sickly. It took me about 2 weeks to eat a bar of the stuff and I eat chocolate like it's going out of fashion.

SanFranBear · 18/12/2023 23:10

It is a genuinely ethical chocolate brand which is what the fuss is about... others say things and have checkmarks and the like but are not necessarily what they seem.

JoyeuxNarwhal · 18/12/2023 23:10

Oh that. Yes I knew. There's guff about the reason why in the website iirc.

Horrible stuff.

Anygoodidea · 18/12/2023 23:13

I knew because I read an article on it once - genuinely ethical credentials. I love pretty much all the bars and I’m glad they’re available all over the place.

ElevenSeven · 18/12/2023 23:13

Don’t get the hype at all - the poster who said it tastes like Yorkie has nailed it

babybrum · 18/12/2023 23:14

Imo yorkies taste better! I was given some and tried it and thought it was cheap chocolate until I searched it up

I’m not going to eat awful chocolate just because it is ethical.

Sugarfish · 18/12/2023 23:17

It’s always been chocolonely. There’s an explanation of the name on the website. Can’t remember what it is and can’t be bothered to look it up

Is it?

I’m sure I read recently that they aren’t as ethical as they present- they are working towards being completely ethical but aren’t anywhere near yet. It’s been taken off the “slave free” list.

personally I think a biscuit and raisin Yorkie is far superior.

saraclara · 18/12/2023 23:20

It's always been chocolonely. It's depressing how subliterate so many people turn out to be.

Good for you.

I think it’s glorious.
