I can’t decide what to make some guests next week.
Which one would you prefer?

Sticky toffee pudding with custard please! Sadly it's only a memory as it drives my sugar levels up too far 😢

My Mum is of the generation that was forced to eat dates swimming in semolina. Consequently she hates dates which means that for a very long time we couldn't eat STP.
A few years ago there was a question on Tenable asking for the ingredients of Mary Berry STP. The contestant said dates. There are no dates in her STP. So happily I can now make it!!!

I don't think you'd ever know that STP was made with dates, tbh.

Sticky toffee, I feel like bread and butter pudding can be a bit soggy sometimes

Sticky Toffee. I have never had bread and butter pudding and never will, the thought of it makes me uneasy, wet bread - yuk. I wouldn’t even try it to be polite.

It's actually not terrible - the bread is baked in a custard, so it's no wetter than any other pudding.

But not as good as sticky toffee.
