For me, the difference between biological and non biological washing powder. Every time I need more washing powder I think I should google that but I never do.

Bio has enzymes in that eat the stains. It’s more effective than non-bio, but there’s no point washing at high temperatures because it makes the enzymes less effective.

Non-bio is marketed as better for babies/sensitive skin but there is actually no evidence for this, and non-bio doesn’t exist in most countries.

Biological has enzymes in so that breaks down stains,non doesn't.

I don't understand taxes well, I have to re-read all the sites for guidance every time I have to deal with anything tax-related. But other people seem to breeze through it and know all about it. I forget it all shortly after I've finished dealing with the issue at hand.

I BELIEVE the earth goes round the sun because the scientists tell me but I keep seeing the sun going around the earth every day and it makes my brain hurt to think of it the other way round. I cannot grasp anything to do with space

Biological washing powder has little enzymes in it - like hundreds of tiny pac-men chomping on the dirt in your clothes. If you wash them too hot they denature i.e. they become misshapen so their poor little mouths can't eat the dirt any more.

They're not actually alive, nor can they play video games.

Non-bio just cleans using chemicals. Much less fun.

I don't watch films, so a lot of cultural references bypass me. People think I'm weird if I say I don't know what they're talking about, so now I just smile and nod and try to change the subject.

I find anything to do with finance and economics difficult. I’m pretty good with numbers generally but somehow when you start adding £ signs into it my brain panics!

Macroeconomics particularly baffles me.

Glass being made from sand…think about it every time we go to the beach! Just doesn’t seem right that something clean and smooth and lovely is made from horrible sticky invasive sand.
