Im nearly 10 hours into The Stand and it is amazing!!!! At first I thought oh right, zombie apocalypse type thing, ok….but it’s so much more! No spoilers please but I’m really enjoying it. I’d never even heard of it!

It’s 48 hours long but still I’m trying to ration myself as I don’t want it to end! I’m halfway through now. REALLY hope nothing bad happens to my favourites!

I’m a third of the way through IT. Only bought it two days ago and have been steadfastly ignoring my family on holiday since opening it.

Think I’m going to end up enjoying it more than The Stand. I think I prefer the small town setting of Derry (as spectacularly awful as it is) to the hugeness of The Stand. For this reason I want to read Under the Dome but this isn’t the first MN thread I’ve read where posters voice their displeasure at the terrible ending.

My favourite King to date remains The Shining. Was given a beautiful Folio Society copy a few years ago. Reading it is such a creepy as hell joy.

Read Under The Dome for the first 99% and just be willing to accept the stupid ending. Or even leave it completely! I wasn't actually ever that interested in why the town was under a dome, for me it was much more interesting to see what happened when it was. So I didn't really need an ending!
