Just seen on Instagram that PS is stepping down with immediate effect from This morning!
I mean, I'm not that bothered but there's been lots of speculation recently re his brother's conviction and the rumoured spat with Holly but I thought it would probably all blow over.
I'm sure he's got a bob or two is loaded but I'm still a bit surprised if I'm honest.

I never really paid much thought to either Phillip Schofield or Holly Willougby before but I now have a wholly negative view of Holly Willoughby and I think if she had any decency she would resign from This Morning.

Watching that video of her "supporting" Phillip as he came out as gay which has been repeated everywhere makes me feel sick. Given all of this (about the runner, his age and so on) was everywhere - even I knew about it - there is no way that she didn't know and it just means her whole persona is just layer upon layer of hypocriscy wrapped up in a bleached blonde simper.

My opinion now is that she's obviously ruthlessly ambitious and seriously finanicially avaracious (cf her 'lifestyle' brand) and she will dig her claws in tight to stay.

But she has zero credibility and can't really be this nice person she pretends to be.

I read something the other day written by someone who worked in TV that said in their experience, the nicer, smilier and wholesome people appeared who worked on television (ie. those like daytime TV presenters where the persona is important) was in direct inverse proportion to how horrible they were in real life. IN other words the more sunny they appeared, the more evil they were.

Can't stand her !!

@Haywirecity yes, what a trooper he was 😊 Though personally I found Alison Hammond’s laughter infectious and brave in a funny way. A perfect foil to the other presenter’s kinda awkwardness!

Thing is this is not news.

Everyone knew/suspected.

His agency, ITV and people working on This Morning.

IMHO the story is not about PS lying.

It's about all the people around him enabling his lies because it was in their ££ to do so.

Funny how they develop a sense of morality now....when he's "done".

No big thing to drop "talent" that won't be a earning commission any time soon...

That's the BIG scandal here and them running for the hills now doesn't mitigate that.

There has been a massive coverup and enabling. Although the extent of what he’s done doesn’t come close to Jimmy Saville, it feels like the same situation again.

But overall I do think it’s a bit of a witch-hunt. There are worse things happening on my street. Or the latest Ukraine destruction.

Not touchy. Just curious. Brave is such a strange word to use to describe laughing at someone's joke. I thought there must be some background to it. But if it's just your take, I guess not.

The bar is low on daytime TV. 🤔

There is a well known sitcom actor who is knowing for horsing and fooling around that is the next target.
