I'm so desperate.

I need a mattress that's not going to dip fuck you Simba after a few months.

Even better if you're able to post a link to the mattress you still love.

My poor back 😭

Slumberland cirrus mattress comes in different firmness I got firm and it's lovely . No bounce when others move 🤣

Paddingtonthebear · 16/05/2023 16:10

We’ve had this since November 2015. Super comfortable, excellent quality, no dips, sags or lumps.

I needed a 3ft6in mattress, and went via Mattressman to buy one, deluxe hotel type, firm. I think I've had it 10 years and it isn't sagging. Not significantly at any rate. Proper springs and fabric. They have a lot of choice.

My simba hasn't dipped and ive had it four years! I do rotate it every few months though! Most comfortable mattress ive ever owned.

So do I.
We we're really strict with the rotation because of the money it cost.

I need a firm mattress because of my back. My Simba is definitely not firm now and definitely dips.
Im not overweight and I only share the bed with my 4 year old. Yet it's absolutely had it.

Unfortunately there's a whole host of people online that have suffered the same fate.

I bought the firmest spring form mattress it’s possible to buy. 10 years later it’s still as hard as rock

Which make?

Firm is what I need.

Warren Evans Organic 6000. I really love it! We did get it in a big sale! I don't like memory foam as it makes me sweat - this is sprung and also I think it has wool inside too. Cosy but breathable and cool in summer.

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 16/05/2023 16:26

John Lewis mattresses are on all the beds in my house. No complaints and they do not dip.

Treaclemine · 16/05/2023 16:27

But not now 3ft6in

jackstini · 16/05/2023 16:27

Tempur - had it for 12 years and no dips
Every night when we get into bed it still makes us happy! (& high thread count bedding Smile)

AngryPurpleSleepingBag · 16/05/2023 16:28

IKEA the really thick firm one. 10 years and still as new. Best mattress ever, makes me never want to sleep away from home

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 16/05/2023 16:32

NOT a Harrison Spinks! We’ve had two and both were dippy fuckers!

Sorry to jump on someone else’s thread - which name? I’m looking at ikea mattresses at the moment.

VÃ…GSTRANDA is the one we have

Raaasaur · 16/05/2023 16:36

We have a vispring. My side is soft, DH’s is form (or medium but I think firm) it’s not zipped/linked, it’s all one.

it had survived 2 house moves (inc overseas), is 12 years old. Had never been turned or rotated, and it’s perfect.

It was bloody expensive though. Possibly around £3k, but it’s lovely.

twoandcooplease · 16/05/2023 16:37

I've never slept better

If I were to get an ikea one, I'd have to get an ikea bed frame for it to fit wouldn't I?
I heard their mattresses aren't the same sizes as the English ones

It’s this one, was £515 for king size in 2015 but it’s gone up a bit since then. Looks like new. Origins is their cheaper range so can’t imagine how good their expensive range is!

Milger · 16/05/2023 16:45

Dh and I have a latex one from Heals. It's over 24 years old and still really comfy with no dips 😅

BrokeAssMum · 16/05/2023 16:45

We have a Therapur from Dreams. Think it's the 800 model that they don't make anymore but it's worth it's weight in gold

Bluevelvetsofa · 16/05/2023 16:46

Tempur, one of the newer ones that doesn’t get hot. You can try out different levels of firmness in the shop. Had it four years now.

littlebrowndoggo · 16/05/2023 16:48

@Paddingtonthebear John Ryan are amazing!!

WorriedMillie · 16/05/2023 16:50

We’ve got a Hypnos mattress, it was expensive, but it’s amazingly comfy and supportive!

Gingerbeerfear · 16/05/2023 16:52

Memory foam from Dunelm - was around £150 at the time, going strong after 4 years. Single life kind so not much activity!

Milger · 16/05/2023 16:06

Have you had an Eve mattress?

@Milger yes I'm the very unhappy owner of one. I contacted them about the poor quality, had an email back basically saying they've gone into administration and the warranty counts for shit. They are still selling them though, which is really unethical in my opinion, when they know they won't honour their 10 year guarantee.
