What colour is your bedroom?

Looking for ideas.

Not long moved into our new house and our bedroom is a white box (4.2 x 2.7). The previous owner white washed the place before putting it on the market so we're working with a blank canvas.

We have new bedroom furniture being delivered at the end of the month and want to have the room recarpeted and painted before it arrives.

Please help me decide on a colour scheme.

Pale pink.

And have you chosen a carpet colour yet?

Ours is quite a strong green which changes with the light quite nicely

Just in the process of choosing curtains.

I started a Pinterest board and pinned lots of ideas and narrowed it down to the green.

Evergreen walls with a velvet midnight blue bed.

Egyptian cotton which is a soothing pale slightly grey cream.

Ours is very similar. It's this one. Not my photo but this colour. Been up 5 years and I still love it.

Navy blue & taupe. Bed is blue, walls are taupe and patterned curtains with both colours. Fitted wardrobes same as walls and no other furniture. I love it but I'm struggling to find duvet covers that work with everything.

White walls and furniture, with wooden floor, green bedding and lots of plants. We have bold colours elsewhere in the house but the white bedroom feels really calming.

Pure white bedroom. It all feels so clean and fresh.

White linen paint. Cream woodwork. Wooden furniture and a big cream rug in the centre of the room/under the bed to keep it warm. I love how calming the lack of colour is.

Purple and black with white furniture - lovely and dark on the bright summer mornings!

This when we get round to it. Doors/ architrave/ picture rail white. Oak flooring.

I think you need to decide whether you want a light or dark bedroom. I favour light bedrooms because I like the light in the mornings. Some people like the cosiness of a dark bedroom in the evenings.
I have Flawless by Crown paints x Elle. It's paired with lilac and sage accessories, and I find it light and airy and calming (south facing).
Once I painted a bedroom (granted it was north facing) in dark teal and it felt oppressive to me. I've changed it to a lighter shade now (shaded white F&B) and I'm much happier.

Our bedroom is painted dark blue (Farrow and Ball Hague Blue colour matched by Valspar.) Oak furniture, white bedding and an orange throw over the bed. I love that it's dark, moody and cosy.

I love my white bedroom. The whole house is white inside.

But it isn’t a box, there isn’t a single right angle it is all sweeping curves and odd shapes. It really wouldn’t look right any other colour.

Mine is a soft green, I'm really pleased with it.

Not my bedroom but shows the colour. It is quite light though, I can see the benefit of dark walls re not bouncing light round in the mornings.

Light blue with a dark blue wall behind the bed.

Mine is probably a bit unusual because my bedroom is huge and I’m very much a minimalist in the bedroom department (literally have a bed and two small bedside tables with a lamp on each- nothing else) so went for quite a dramatic aubergine colour on the top half and cream paneling on the bottom (not really a fan of paneling but was here when we moved in so kept it).

Don’t recall the exact name of the paint colour but it’s similar to this.

My bedroom is pale grey almost white with the back wall dark grey. White furniture. I have lots of different patterns of bedding as everything else is pretty neutral.
