cheap stuff is better than posh stuff

Not just better considering it's cheap but you actually think is superior?

I used to buy clothes detergent pods etc, not I use bargain own brand powder and it's great. Likewise own brand washing up liquid I think is better than fairy and co.

Big tubs of hair mask for four quid always seem better than posh conditioner I sometimes buy.

How about you? What are your bargains?

Also washing liquid. Dd was furious when I bought Ariel and fairy gel on offer instead and I agree not as good. Plus it made us itch.

Cheap Jaffa cakes

Dcat says that the Lidl version of Lick-E-Lix treats are nicer than the original.

Incidentally, I worked in a brandy snap basket factory (yes really) when I was a student, and the same product went into Asda boxes and M&S boxes. Exactly the same brandy snap baskets. M&S ones substantially more expensive.

Yes to Lidl Jaffa cakes!! They are amazing.

I wonder if they are the branded Jaffa Cakes that are slightly imperfect so rejected and repackaged as Supermarket Brans ?

I think it's the same for Ice cream. Someone we met on holiday who worked in an ice cream factory said they just changed the lid on the ice cream tubs . They packed for Sainsbury's.

Sun cream - although it’s difficult to imagine needing any ever again.

As PPs have said, often this stuff isn’t better, it’s the same stuff but cheaper.

Edited

I do find more expensive sun cream seems to sink in quicker and is not so greasy

Tesco dishwasher tablets are awesome for all sorts of random stuff too.

Boots Essentials Eye Makeup Remover lotion at £1:50 a bottle is the best ever, never a reaction on my sensitive eyes, been using it for years. It’s often even 3 for 2.
