I've eaten the same thing for lunch and dinner 6 times this week..

By choice!

Kids are grown so I don't have to cook for them.

Husband and I have different work schedules so don't always eat together.

This week, I've had crusty bread with cheese and salad, and extra salad, for lunch every day and I going to have it for tea tonight too!

It's just bliss to be able to fancy something simple and have it.

What would you have every day if you could?

Baguette and real butter. My mum used to give me and my sister money for sweets when I was little and I'd spend it on one of those freshly baked mini baguettes instead and eat it plain 😂

This can be a sign of neuro divergence

It's not Mumsnet unless someone has suggested ASD by the third response.

She's not saying she can't eat anything else or it's a safe food. It's unusual enough for her that she's posted about it.

Crisps.
Roast chicken.
Tasty cheese.
Bread.

I do actually eat a packet of crisps for breakfast.

You have reported meHmm

Goodness, you really need to rethink here!

You came in here and threw a ND card at OP for choosing the same food a few days in a row. And you think I am the one with the problem?

Another armchair diagnoses...

It's every bloody thread now - and this one is just supposed to be about food FGS

CantFindTheBeat · 22/04/2023 09:00

Hi all,

Just wanted to be clear, I'm not ND.

I just like cheese and bread!

(And chocolate. And wine. And DEFINITELY massive salad!!!)

Greek salad with lots of feta. Bread on the side. I could have that for lunch everyday I think.

I did pretty much that in Greece for 2 weeks when I was veggie. It got boring 😆

Its unbearable. Its like people with a disability or disorder are just a one dimensional stereotype of symptoms where the habits/behaviour/traits cant be due to ANY other reason like plain old dislikes and likes and personality

I do this, will have the same thing every day for weeks, then randomly will stop and not have it for years/months.

Had a chicken goujon wrap phase, a watermelon feta olive salad phase, a soup phase. Currently in a rice cake/snack a jack phase.

DP is in a chocolate hobnob phase, he is single handedly keeping mcvities going.

This describes me to a t.

I get fixated on a food, only eat that food for months, then drop it for years. Current phase is pop tarts. I kid you not. Aldi do a knock off called pop twists or something.
Last phase was egg mayo sandwiches, pre that was cheese on toast, pre that baked potatoes with tuna. And the last one I can remember before that was princes sandwich paste on hot crumpets. I haven't eaten sandwich paste since I was a child at parties.

I sometimes wonder if I'm lacking some mineral or micro nutrients and that's why I'm drawn to certain food at times.

I do eat a different dinner most nights, I've never eaten breakfast so the above is usually brunch/lunch.

This week I've bought pate, I expect this will kick off a round of eating pate on toast.

I wish mumsnet would bring in a talk guideline that you can't derail threads by attempting to armchair diagnose the OP or anyone OP mentions.

You're vile

Perhaps you need to do some reflection on why you seem to want to make this thread all about you?

Deathraystare · 22/04/2023 13:22

Macaroni and cheese though only had it two days! Not the same one reheated mind. I used to go through a craze of having a roll with crisps and salad cream but haven't done that for a while but did do a veggie bacon and spring onion roll yesterday. Sort of fancying it again today, I do like a choice though.

I'm not the one diagnosing someone based on their lunch?

I'm not vile I'm just absolutely sick of this shite.

Cherrysoup · 22/04/2023 15:45

I got into this habit when I was off work sick for a few weeks, takes no thought/planning. Don’t think I’m nd.
