Another one I thought of is the abandoned section of shipyards in Govan, Glasgow.

Ex-p and I ended up driving the car onto one of the actual docks one fine evening c1998, before they fenced/walled it all off. We got out of the car and walked around a wee bit, was a weird feeling, almost like you could feel the industry of the past.
