How is your Easter Sunday morning going?

I'm still in bed, the grandparents are taking dc to church this morning. We are having a roast tomorrow as some of the family have to work to today, so I really have no need to rush out of bed. The dc haven't even asked about Easter Eggs yet! Growing up it would have been chocolate for breakfast at my house, then a rush to get ready for church and straight to my grandparents for a roast dinner and more Easter eggs. Tell me about your morning.

DC have eaten a lot of chocolate already (egg hunt in garden and tasted some of their eggs from family)
now watching a film together.
will go for a little walk, potter in the garden and then roast later.

Dd woke at 6am for Easter hunt. In vile mood until 8 because DS hadn't woken up. 30 seconds of Easter hunt in the garden (after a midnight drop of toy eggs from me and a covert scattering of chocolate ones while they looked for the others) then huge meltdowns from both DC about whose egg they wanted (they are all the same).

DD (6) woke up at the crack of dawn and has evidently eaten half an enormous egg and is now in a chocolate coma on my bed.
I’ve prepped the roast for later and we’re off to the circus at 12. Happy Easter and have a fab day all.

Dcs didn't get up till 8:30 and I had been awake ages waiting for them. Once they got up they did their egg hunt. I've gone back to bed with tea and toast. Dd has gone back to bed with her haul. Boys are playing FIFA.

Going for a walk this morning then roast with family this afternoon.

I'm having a cuppa in bed, DH downstairs wrapping a couple of eggs in tissue paper having done a quick treasure hunt. DCs 12 and 15 still in bed.

MIL & SIL over later for lunch. Will have to get out and walk the hound at some point. Might try and squeeze in a trip to B&Q to buy paint (will they be open?!)

It's been very chilled. We are on holiday. Dcs got up and found Easter eggs. We're watching Moana and going to have breakfast in a minute. No church today as we are away from home and didn't fancy a new church.

Planning to go to a beach or similar later

Fabulous. Dc were up before the easter bunny had been so she had to sneak around the garden hoping she wasn't spotted. 🤣 DC had a great time hunting filled plastic eggs and looking for the "big" egg too. They've had chocolate abd cinnamon swirls for breakfast. Heading out for a long walk soon.

I am at Lindesfarne. 6am service, followed by 10.45 (main) service. It is beautiful and also healing after a very hard year. ✝️ Blessings, & a Happy Easter 🐣🐰to you all x

I’ve not long woken up so I’m still in bed. The dc are all asleep (they are mostly big now! Youngest is 11). Dh is having a cuppa in the garden.
Got my nieces and nephews coming round for an Easter egg hunt late morning then my parents are coming for a bbq so busy day but I’m struggling to find the enthusiasm to actually move 🫣😂

I am making Lamb and Cherry rice later (half Persian DH) with salad, bread and mint abd cucumber yoghurt.

Then after church it's ipads, I will read my books 📚 😊 and prep the rice

Mum coming over for lunch.

Might choose a movie later on.

DS has done an egg hunt and eaten a few little eggs but DD is still fast asleep. I had planned on doing dippy eggs for us all for lunch but DD is showing no signs of waking up and DS is loudly demanding lunch already.

Got treasure hunts to do in the afternoon, need to decide where the final hiding place will be and organise the clues accordingly

Bags all ready, having last cuppa before heading off down the road to The Peak District proper, it’s 40 mins drive roughly for a day hill walking.

No DC here so it's nice and relaxing.

I've just had breakfast and I'm off on a two hour beach ride shortly. DH is still in bed, the animals have been fed and it's all very peaceful

I'll have my egg when I'm back from stables around lunchtime!

Here the Easter Bunny leaves an egg for the morning, we do the hunt. So dc on tablets playing minecraft after eating chocolate for breakfast. Will do egg hunt, might do some planting, then roast dinner and film

Went to make tea and toast at 8am and the toaster tripped the electric. Toaster's buggered, so after my initial disappointment decided to open my easter egg for breakfast instead😋. Going for a long easter walk and picnic with the kids later on.

Everyone still in bed here. I do miss the Easter Bunny coming though.

One year I put sticky footprints down as a trail - usually I used talc or flour - they never unstuck and a probably still under the carpet now!

We are doing a extended family roast tomorrow as my son has to work today. My youngest (13) wants to do an Easter egg hunt and I expect she’ll convince her sisters (22 and 17) to join her 🤣

First Easter Sunday without DD1 here in the morning as she's probably still comatose at her friend's after going clubbing last night. Will see her this afternoon and we'll do a little hunt for her & DD2 (they still expect me to put clues around the house!). Going to bodypump this morning then roast lamb for dinner. Going for a walk with DD2 this afternoon. Chilled day I hope!

Jealous of everybody's lie ins.

DD1 was up 2-4am. Then DD4 woke up at 5:16. She'd forgot it was Easter so stayed in our bed chattering to me until I dragged myself out of bed at 6. Both kids hunted plastic eggs inside. Had hot cross buns. Rushed DD4 to swim lesson at 8. Now back home to shower and then be at local park for egg hunt at 10:30. In laws are letting us there then coming back to ours for lunch. I'm exhausted already

We are all still in pyjamas here but the day will mostly involve chocolate and nice food. Once I can persuade everyone to get dressed we will do an egg hunt on the beach then just chill out the rest of the day.

Up early here, made the meringue for my lemon meringue pie, cooked some yorkshires and prepared the lamb. Grumpy teen and preteen have had an egg hunt and subsequent argument about relative fairness of chocolate distribution. Off to church shortly and family with actual small children coming for lunch and a more exciting egg hunt! Happy Easter everyone!

Now getting beds etc made, a load of laundry. Then a trip to the park maybe.

And for dinner. Im not bothering with a roast as eldest is working and dh isn't feeling great. So probably whatever is quick later and ill do a roast tomorrow.

B&Q not open today. My dc works there on stock flow and is unhappy they have had to go to work even though there will be no customers. They're getting ready for the big rush tomorrow, get there early or prepare to queue!

Im back in bed after letting the dogs out earlier and feeding the cats.
My kids are late teens and my daughter is still asleep, my morning bird energiser bunny son has been up, taken out the rubbish, done the dishes from last nights dinner and is about to take the dogs out for a long walk. Lest you think he's some sort of Angel, let me dispel that illusion by saying he's only visiting and has been so hyper critical since he arrived. From the texture of my towels to the amount of dishes I have, to the amount of food in the fridge, to how badly the bathroom is laid out; he has found fault with everything.
Remember how you'd visit your mother and she'd criticise your hair style, the clothes you are wearing, your lack of boyfriend and your job so you'd come away feeling like you can't do anything right? That's how I feel right now.
