What are you up to on this Good Friday morning ?

I hope you are well. Nothing much here as have a sick child (who’s over the worst) and dh is at work.

we had to cancel a weekend away.

I'm going to have a coffee. An outfit for a special occasion is arriving so will try that on. Will settle down with some nice YouTube vlogs and kids will watch a movie 🎥

Just taking DD for an ‘own a pony’ day, then coming home for a cup of tea in silence and to clean the house before Easter. We had to let our cleaner go so (I’m aware this is the biggest first world problem ever) it’s the first time I’ve had to do it myself in ages and I don’t have much motivation…

DH has just taken DDog for a walk, then he’s taking the DSs to the cinema later.

This evening we’re trying our new pizza oven for the first time! Smile

I hope DC is fully recovered asap, OP.

I'm enjoying my newly painted living room, getting cuddled by a kitten and finishing my coffee (newly bought, local brand as a treat) before decorating brownies for later on. Family coming for lunch. Kids are at their dads, house is tidy and clean and QUIET! loving it.

At 8 I made DS a breakfast of toasted soda farls with butter and honey, and myself a coffee, while switching on the washing machine to do bedding. Im currently back in bed reading the i and mumsnet having my half hour alone 🙏🏽
It's stunning outside so I'm hoping to do a couple of laundry loads and take DS to the park while DP sleeps (night shift worker). They've got a film booked at cinema later in the afternoon, I don't want to watch it so I'll stay home, prep dinner etc.

I need to make a birthday cake, buy some fondant icing to ice it and buy some topsoil. Tomorrow will be seeding the garden and icing the cake.

DH and I are taking the DDs swimming this morning, then hopefully they're both up for lunch in the cafe afterwards. Then home for nap time so I can get ready to go out for drinks and dinner with my best friend this afternoon/early evening and get home just after the girls' bedtime! 🤞🏻

DH is on the early shift with DS so I'm relaxing in bed with a magazine and a coffee while they do Easter crafting downstairs. Then we're going to sort a picnic and head to a local NT place with a huge play area. Great weather for it!!

I’m doing the washing ready to hang out on the line after having the dogs for a walk. Will go to shops with DC later then home for dinner in the garden:)

Just had banana and coffee, reading the papers online then bit later going to visit my dad at the care home, he's now bed ridden and sleeps a huge amount so it won't be a long visit.

Friend coming over after lunch for an hour or two to catch up then after she has gone, gardening for the rest of the day.

Probably plant my potatoes into the potato sack I bought. Going to give growing them another try as haven't been very successful in past years.

I'm waiting for dh to get himself organised. He's working (well, on call) this weekend right through to Tuesday morning and has to stay away so for this weekend we've booked an air b&b and I'm going to keep him company. Leaving the adult kids to look after the dog!

I'm drinking my brew, in my spot. Had the best nights sleep in ages last night & a bit of a lie in.

My plan for the day is varnish some Very Hungry Caterpillar props, draw out areas on some peg dolls for Coronation props & crochet. I may venture out to the shop too!

Oh, and basic housey stuff but not much - I keep being reminded by everyone that I'm meant to be resting but I'm bored now 🙄

Dd1 has promised me avocado, scrambled egg, and toast for brunch but she'll be in bed aaaaages yet after swimming then a walk with her friend yesterday. She'll be revising later for her upcoming GCSE exams.

I have no idea what dd2 will do - I keep inviting her to sit with me but she vanishes off to play with make up & talk to her friends 🤷‍♀️.

It’s a beautiful day here. The dogs have been walked and I’m having breakfast wondering what to do with myself. DH and I were supposed to be going for lunch but that won’t be happening now as some twats have got lost on the hills and DH is MR.

Going to a national trust property with the dog and any children that want to come to do an Easter egg trail. Just having a chilled day today.

Just about to get in the car and more than likely sit in a traffic jam for about 6 hours while we drive Dorset to Cheshire to spend the weekend with the MIL

A bit of a lie in as I'm not working today. Then need to photograph an old wardrobe to stick up on Facebook (it's antique and has been in the family for years and I'd be really sad if I had to take it to the dump), pop to Sainsburys and then Decathlon to get sandals for DD2. And persuade DD1 to do some revision for her GCSEs.

I got up at 5.50am to have a coffee and a banana before heading to the gym for a session with my PT! Nipped to the store to pick up eggs, smoked salmon and pancetta and I have just had a hot bath. Husband is currently making eggs Benedict!😊😊😊 child is playing minecraft with his buddy as he stayed over last night. Then it's gardening/pottering/cleaning before heading out with friends for a meal tonight. It will be a good day. 😊

Hope those of you that are poorly, get better soon. 💗
