If you’re 5ft 6 / 5ft 7, how many KG do you weigh?

Just out of curiosity. I’m 168cm so almost 5 ft 7. Weigh 69.9kg-72kg depending on the time of the month and wear a size 31 Jean. I feel massively grumpy and podgy, and tbh shocked that I’m almost a size 14! I was a size 8 (55kg) prelockdown, went up to a 10/12 after that and then even more so after having dd2 who’s just turned one. I’ve joined the gym but I’m a terrible snacker and husband also travels so I never get a chance to go. Currently feeling very sorry for myself as I’ve got the period bloat and sitting munching on salted pretzels which definitely won’t help!

Who cares? Confused

5ft 7 and about 120kg.

my weight is the least interesting thing about me. If I hadn’t been sucked into diet culture for the last 25 years I’m sure I’d be less.

3 years of unpicking my worth from my weight. Fattest I’ve ever been but by far the happiest and most secure.

Get it girl, I feel this one! I am 5ft 6 and about 110kg I think although I don’t weigh myself often. I am a size 18/20 and I don’t care and I won’t apologise for it or caveat it. I have experienced suicidal thoughts linked to low self-esteem in the past - in part because of my weight - and I know with certainty that I would rather be still here and fat than… well… dead

Keepthetowel · 05/04/2023 22:48

66 kg 10stone 7lb I’m a size 12

Thighdentitycrisis · 05/04/2023 22:49

64 kg. I’m probably a 12. Most of my clothes are 10 though so all a bit small!
12 is the biggest I’ve ever been and I want to lose some but have no willpower…

Youngatheart00 · 05/04/2023 22:51

I’m 5ft 7 and weigh 73kg. This has confirmed my view I’m extremely heavy/dense for my size as I wear a size 12 on the bottom, 8-10 on top or a 10 in a dress, yet I am a good 5-10kg heavier than others my height who wear the same size!!

I do run a lot, and build muscle quickly, but also carrying a bit more fat than I’d like (post years of IVF) that said I’ve lost 10kg from my peak

Tellmethespoiler · 05/04/2023 22:53

I’m 5’6” and weigh about 54kg.

Minikievs · 05/04/2023 22:56

I am 5 7.5 and 60kg.
I am floppy though. Skinny but floppy and saggy. I really think I ought to be bigger as I'd fill out my skin better, but I always used to be the "big one" (at a size 14 🙄) and I can't get out of the mindset that I am only worthy when smaller.

I’m with you on that! Being fat isn’t the end of the world, and my biggest wish is that people (especially women) didn’t spend their lives obsessing about what they weigh.

I am also very, very glad you are here and fat, and not dead 😘

TwoShades1 · 05/04/2023 23:03

I’m 5’5 and 66kg. I am very nearly classed as overweight. I definitely feel a bit too heavy at this size. I would be happier around the 58 to 60 mark.

Sheruns · 05/04/2023 23:04

I'm 5'5.5 so near as dammit 5'6 I'm a naturally slim 52.5kg. I run a lot but it's mainly genetics. I wear a 6-8 depending on the shop. No boobs but bought myself a pair for my 30th so I'm a 30e which sounds big but really isn't. I'm the "biggest" female on my dads side of the family, so like I say it's genetics

Schmutter · 05/04/2023 23:04

I don’t spend my life ‘obsessing about what I weigh’. But I do keep an eye on it as a barometer of my health and wellbeing. I feel great if I’m at a weight I’m happy with.

I hate that there’s now a trend on MN to try and shut down any threads that talk about weight/height etc.

Retrievemysanity · 05/04/2023 23:18

I’m in my 40’s, same height as you and weigh 63kg. I really like home workouts including dumbbell workouts with people like FitbyMik and Team Body Project but my kids are older now and I have more time and inclination to exercise and eat healthily so it’s easier. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself when you’ve got a young family- be patient, consistent and results will come.

anonymous98 · 05/04/2023 23:18

66kg. Will probably be 67kg by the end of the Easter weekend tbh.

Ames85 · 05/04/2023 23:19

I am just over 5ft 7 and currently weigh 55kg due to various struggles which I deal with by eating my feelings. I am using my fitness pal to get back to my normal 54kg. I find it really helps me stop mindlessly binge eating

EllieM27 · 05/04/2023 23:33

I’m 5’6” and 52kg, really light on bone and thus can’t carry much weight at all before looking like a chubbo. Unfair but I’ve made peace with it. 😂

Amiable · 05/04/2023 23:36

@Xrays I have Addisons too! I am also around 93kg but a size 20. How bizarre that we weigh the same but have such different clothes sizes!

magicthree · 05/04/2023 23:48

TheYakWanders · 05/04/2023 22:43

I am 168cm and 67kg.
I would not worry about anyone else's weight and height comparison as it all depends on your natural build, genetics and your body - you could be muscular and weigh much more!

Well said. There are posters on this thread the same height and weight as I am wearing size 12 - I wear size 16. It's ridiculous to compare.

locketrocket · 06/04/2023 00:02

Interesting... I'm 5'8" and 78kg, size 12. Exercise quite a bit but not overly toned.

NumericalBlock · 06/04/2023 00:11

I'm 165/166cm and just under 100kg currently. I feel at my best between 65-75kg but since having my youngest I have been unable to do yoga without a muscle in my torso feeling like it's twisting which is bloody painful.
Yoga is my main go to exercise (at home) along with swimming which I've not been able to afford since covid, so the weight has piled on 😬 though I'm having meal replacement shakes, for other reasons than weight, some days and I'm finding that my appetite is better and energy levels are better since I started so I'm hoping that'll help!

hjfl · 06/04/2023 01:00

58.6kg, I'v just started calorie counting to lose weight. I feel best at 53-55kg.

Dymaxion · 06/04/2023 06:31

@Whatthediddlyfeck that's an amazing weight loss, do you mind sharing how you achieved it ?

Thats strange isn’t it! 😳 Maybe I’m wearing clothes that are a generous fit?! Most of my weight is in my bum and my boobs (size 34H).

Flossyhair · 18/05/2023 11:43

I am 5 foot 6 inches and weigh 85kgs. I am a size 14 on clothes.
I would like to get to 75kgs but have joint and back issues.

I just need to cut back on things and move more.

I still feel daunted at the thought of losing weight when it hurts me to move.

SeamsLegit · 18/05/2023 15:46

5ft 7, 125kg :-(
