A genuine Guinea pig thread!!!

After the Guinea pig thread, on which which I enthusiastically posted piggy pictures, turned out to be a troll, I thought that there should be a genuine appreciation thread for these cute, demanding, potato shaped poop machines!
These are a selection of mine.
(Also, wtf would you start a troll thread about guinea pigs?!)

Your little piggies are gorgeous BonnieMummy. I miss ours so much now, but we haven't got the space to have more. They were beautiful, intelligent and utterly adorable little animals. I loved to hear their excited little squeals when they saw their food coming or even if they just wanted a "chat" with one of us.

Goodness that was a troll? How oddly pointless. I would post a pic of ours but their owner, DS2, has enforced a very strict social media policy for them!

Oh yes! An excellent thread! Here are my darlings. I'll post a better one later. Love seeing everyone's piggies.

OP. Your one on the right on the picture of 3 is the spit of of of ours. Are they known for being more 'podgy' than others?

To everyone who has posted pics: all of your piggies are adorable!
I miss having guinea pigs in my home. I had them for years in my early adulthood, I would genuinely be at work and looking forward to coming home to them. 😄 Their squeaks, their popcorning, and absolute all round cuteness really lifted me up daily.
Whilst I don't own any currently, I still have a massive soft spot for all piggies.

just same here. I had piggies for 30 years, not had them for 10 and I miss them every day.
I'm so sad when I have bonus celery leaves and no one to eat them 😭. I also get the hump when I have to mow the lawn, that was their job.

Awww I miss my piggies, the snuffly noses, the licky tongues, the hay smell, the furry tummy’s.
I don’t miss poo picking!

id post pics but it’d be outing as anyone who knows me knows what my piggies looked like.

I had piggies for a few years, that last one died about 3 years ago. I still think about them when I have salad/bed scraps - such sweet little creatures.

Ours was a fabulous little character, great mates with the dog (terrier, an ineffectual one, obviously 😁) We lost them both in the past couple of years. Sadly missed.

My guilty pleasure is watching the LA Guinea Pig Rescue livestream on Youtube every Saturday night. I get my weekly furry potato quota that way!

Here's mine. Our chocolate pig died earlier this week 😢 💔. Gingy pig is doing OK. They've been gorgeous girls.

Sorry to hear about your loss one of ours died a few months ago so we had to get a couple more friends for the one that was left because he was so distressed
